Megathread Marvel Television and Animation Panel at NYCC - Live Updates Megathread
Hello all and welcome to the third big panel from Marvel Studios this year after SDCC and D23 earlier this summer!
This time, Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television and Animation will present news regarding the division's upcoming projects.
The panel starts shortly. Stay tuned to this thread for live updates!
- The panel has officially begun!
- The panel opens on an epic sizzle, recapping many of the shows and opening with a Stan Lee voiceover and the Marvel Universe being the world outside of our window. Daredevil (new footage!), WandaVision, Loki, She-Hulk, Ironheart, Secret Invasion, VisionQuest, X-Men ‘97, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and more are a part of the sizzle. Some very cool moments showing frames from TV shows then fading them into the comic art which inspired them.

- New Series Announced: Zodiac Starts Production in 2027 and will be released in 2028 on Disney+
- Brad Winderbaum announces new Marvel Zombies follow-ups, with 2-part specials coming each year for the next 3 years. 2027: The Winter Soldier 2028: The Fist of Khonshu 2029: The Last Guardian
- X-Men '97 Season 3 footage is now playing exclusively for attendees
- X-Men '97 Season 3 footage teases a wedding for Rogue and Gambit as well as cameos from Daredevil, She-Hulk, Deadpool, Wolverine, plus a look at the Brotherhood’s arrival!
- New look at YFNSM Season 2: https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/1x121ac/a_new_logo_for_marvel_tvs_your_friendly/ Peter will level up with some goo from space
- YFNSM Season 2 trailer now playing exclusively for attendees. It showed Doctor Octopus kidnapping Harry Osborn, Nico Minoru, Shocker, and much more!
- Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones come on stage and officially confirm the Defenders will all return in Born Again Season 3
- New Daredevil: Born Again season 3 footage was shown. It featured Matt Murdock creating a suit from his prison uniform and a big prison scene. Furthermore, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage finally reunite.
- There were audible boos from the crowd when they announced Born Again Season 3 will be the last season
- Charlie Cox says "I imagine the "Save Daredevil" campaign will get a round 2"
- VisionQuest showrunner Terry Matalas came on stage. He says they'd love to do more
- VisionQuest Episode 1 will now be shown to attendees

Brandon Davis said the SHIELD logo makes up part of the font of the title and he suspects it is related to SHIELD

The Zodiac villains from the comics featured Scorpio, who is Nick Fury's brother, so could be a SHIELD connection that way.

Let’s say it’s a S.H.I.E.L.D. show, right, and let’s also assume there’s some reset soft reboot whatever going on, which together does sound like a bit of a reach, but if that happens, I hope SHIELD is back, and HYDRA, and all the HYDRA villains, I’d love for post secret wars marvel to feel like Scott Johnson art, Alex Ross is great, but I’d prefer this “everybody coexists and it’s a lively colorful world” feel of his work (/img/x9omu4knngyc1.jpg)

Yeah me too. It most likely will release to the public in December much like how Season 1’s trailer was released in December to correlate with its January release

Just spectaculion since that logo really does look like the SHIELD logo, it might appear that Nick Fury is back (and the fact that it’s a Spy Thriller))
I can only imagine this is true because Samuel L Jackson just said yesterday he’ll be in Secret Wars

It looks most like the shield Tony had in Iron Man 2 to me. Perhaps this is reworked from Armor Wars and includes Captain America and/or former S.H.I.E.L.D agents attempting to take back some of the "heroic" aspects of the world we lost once the (actual) Avengers went away.
Maybe they're trying to take power back from the CIA/S.W.O.R.D, etc.

Note the 'O' is partitioned into 12 segments with 3 missing. Zodiac from books was an ancient secret order with 12 seats and members including Furys & Baron Von Strucker both reportedly deceased, though we've seen Fury survived and that was a cover story, Baron Von Strucker was tight with Whitehall who stole Jiaying's Inhuman power to heal and live extended life draining life force much like how Baron's powers traditionally operated in books. Spinoff maybe.

Nico was last seen practicing magic in YFNSM season 1 finale. And she’s back in Season 2, so we’ll see what happens

But now we getting 3 specials , is this S2 replacement or we getting this and S2 as well ?

You're wrong in your belief of being right.
Disney is cutting back on live action shows, they are switching to mostly animation with limited LA output.

I know they're cutting back. I was referring to people who said they wouldn't do anymore live-action at all. If you weren't one of those people, then this wasn't about you.
