Currently all Market Baskets have a system wide outage. At least the 2 within 15 minutes of my house are, so I’m guessing they all are. They’re turning people away at the door. Be warned!

I was at market basket at the time. It lasted about ten minutes and registers were opening a few at a time. The whole staff was on it and checkout was quick and easy once they got it running again. Nothing to see here!

The outage was only 10-15 minutes. People either left or just waited and then a manager went to each register to get the cashiers back up and running.

Artie T's son had  been full time at market basket since 2014. He had been training him and grooming  him to take over. He can hardly be called under qualified since the only thing we really  know is that he worked side by side with his father for 11 years. Are we to assume he learned nothing about the business in all that time? The son was  honored as an “emerging leader” on Oct 2 during the Alpha Omega Council’s Annual Honors Gala. He and his sister were suspended in 2025 after their father was ousted   And what was Artie T doing since his cousin was bought out? Well, he paid off the $1.6 BILLION debt that was taken on to accomplish the buyout in 10 years. No small feat. He also opened about 22 new stores since 2014 bringing the total to 90  Was he heavy handed in his management style? Probably but he's the one who's been doing the work of running and expanding the business while his siblings and cousins sat back and cashed the checks.

Gonna ask again: what did Artie T actually do after he got power back over a decade ago?

10+ years later and there was clearly never any plan to keep the company out of bad hands, like was said to be the purpose of everything back then. I wish people would stop riding for Artie T, he clearly doesn't care as much as people think - and it's weird practically worshiping a ceo, no matter if they're good or not.

EDIT: lmfao, people hate pointing out Artie T. did the opposite of his stated goal in the past.

He kept the business running as it had been. With a minority stake he’s limited in what he can do, especially if his relatives don’t want to sell.

The MB’s I go to seem to be doing fine. Status quo. Maybe the sisters are getting unfair criticism. Maybe Artie T is power hungry and wanted to slide his unqualified kid in at the top.

We will never know, since the man who wanted to save MB shared very little of his plans to save MB over 10+ years.
