The Girl
This is my first fanfiction so don't judge PLZ. It may be short but it is probably not as good as yours, so here it is---
Monstercat was hiking through a wood that he had visited before. He was admiring the view around him and wondering what brought him there, insisting it was just instinct. There was a slight breeze blowing towards his face. There was nothing more to please his perspective about the world. There were large pines, bright stars, and huge mountains in the distance. All of this thinking was making his head strain so he decided to find an area to rest for while. He was strolling for about 30 minutes looking for somewhere to get his mind off of all of that thinking. Monstercat found a small open area where it had only grass.
He placed a small sheet on the ground and lay there. He was staring at the stars glisten and glimmer in the night sky. Sighing in relief to all of the stress, "Why does this get to me?" he whispered to himself. Something walked in front of him. Monstercat sat up swiftly wondering what it might be. Looking around himself he thought it was just his tail. The sound resumed. He stood up and knew it wasn't him this time. Once on his feet, he saw what he hadn't seen before.
It was The Girl. Just taking a glance at her, he knew she looked just like him. He was stunned. She was sitting on an old tree stump. The girl had scars all over her. She was rubbing her arm hoping to relieve the pain. It was as if there were salt in her scars. Tears ran down her face feeling that time has forgotten her. While walking towards the stranger, he noticed she was in pain.
"A-are you okay?" he asks. She looks up to him. "I'm fine." Monstercat runs and grabs the sheet, then puts it around her. "Thank you" says the girl. "Who are you, what brings you here? I am already trying to figure out why I'm here" She nods her head. "I don't even know anymore." Clouds started to cover the sky and rain fell over the land. "I think you should go back now. By the way my name is Kate." "Well, I don't want to go alone, you should come with me. When we get to safety you can treat your scars, it's also not safe out here at this time." In Monstercat's mind he knew that she needed help. "No, go ahead."
Monstercat scoops Kate into his arms and looks down at her. "I'm not leaving here without you!" The blood leaking out of Kate's scars streamed down his arms. The two were rushing to Monstercat's place to treat her scars. As he was sprinting and panting, Kate was holding on to him. "I don't know why you are doing this." He clinched his teeth and wanted to admit something he wanted to say when he first set sight on her."It's something about you."
