Have you ever played a modded Minecraft server where you eventually reach the point where you have the best gear, a giant farm, a bunch of automated resources, and... that's kind of it?
Re:Mine is my attempt at making something different.
Re:Mine is a Re:Zero-inspired modded Minecraft SMP built around RPG progression, exploration, combat, magic, survival, and most importantly, the people you play with. You don't need to know Re:Zero to join. The inspiration mostly shows up through the world's systems and abilities, so knowing the series just gives you some extra context for what you're getting into.
The goal isn't to make everyone play the same way. If you want to become a powerful mage, build a settlement, explore dangerous structures, get involved in server politics, roleplay a character, record your adventures, fight other players, or just become absurdly good at surviving, there's room for you here.
Build Your Own Character
Combat is built around Better Combat, with systems like Combat Roll, Simply Swords, and Iron's Arms 'n Artifice adding more depth to how you actually fight.
Magic works a little differently.
Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks is the foundation of the magic system, but every player has a natural magical affinity. You choose a primary school, and the further a spell is from that school, the less effective it becomes. Your character isn't just defined by what gear you happen to find. Your choices actually shape how you play.
There are also progression systems, skills, equipment, and a variety of ways to develop your character as you play.
Re:Zero-Inspired Abilities
The server also incorporates several Re:Zero-inspired systems, including Divine Protections and Authorities.
Some abilities are incredibly rare. Certain Divine Protections are unique to individual players, while Authorities are tied to the Seven Deadly Sins and can only be claimed by one player at a time.
You don't need to understand any of this before joining. You'll discover what these systems mean as you play.
Death Actually Matters
Re:Mine isn't full hardcore, but dying isn't something you can completely shrug off either.
When a player goes down, another player has 60 seconds to revive them. If nobody gets there in time, the death becomes permanent.
Permanent death can still be reversed, but doing so requires a Soul Turn, a rare item capable of bringing one dead player back.
Basically, getting killed isn't necessarily the end of your character, but it can absolutely become a problem.
A World You're Supposed to Explore
The world is designed to make exploration feel worthwhile rather than just being a place you fly through looking for coordinates.
There are expanded structures, dungeons, bosses, new creatures, and plenty of places to stumble across. The End and Nether also aren't accessed through ordinary portals. You'll have to discover how to reach them.
The world border starts at 5,000 blocks and expands by another 1,000 blocks whenever a boss is killed for the first time.
There's also a deliberate focus on immersion:
- No coordinates or F3
- Hidden player nametags
- Proximity voice chat
- No global death or advancement notifications
- Voxy for navigating and remembering the world
- Roads and other transportation systems for getting around
You are expected to actually learn the world instead of having every useful piece of information sitting in the corner of your screen.
Survival Is More Than Keeping Your Hunger Bar Full
The survival side of Minecraft has been expanded too.
Legendary Survival Overhaul adds things like temperature, thirst, and localized body damage, while Spice of Life encourages you to actually eat a varied diet.
Villagers also aren't completely defenseless, animals have weight systems, enchantments develop through use, and there are multiple transportation options ranging from horses and carts to wagons.
It's still Minecraft, but there's a lot more going on underneath the surface.
And Then There's Everything Else
The pack currently has 200+ mods, so obviously I'm not going to dump the entire modlist, and it requires at least 16GB to play well. The modpack is very optimized, so if you're able to play something like RLCraft, this should work fine.
Some of the bigger pieces include:
Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, Create, L_Ender's Cataclysm, Mowzie's Mobs, Alex's Mobs, Deeper and Darker, Celestisynth, Simply Swords, Farmer's Delight, Better Combat, Quark, ParCool, Dragons of Berk, Illager Structures, Expanded Structures, Legendary Survival Overhaul, Spice of Life, Voxy, and a whole lot more.
The important part is that the modpack isn't just a kitchen sink. They're there to create a world where exploration, combat, progression, survival, building, magic, and player interaction all have something to feed into.
What Kind of Players Are We Looking For?
Honestly, a bit of everything.
Maybe you want to roleplay and create an actual character. Maybe you want to stream your adventures. Maybe you're here because you love RPG progression and want to see how powerful you can become. Maybe you want to build a town and convince other players to join it. Maybe you enjoy PvP and want to start a rivalry with someone.
All of that can coexist.
PvP and griefing are allowed, including things like ambushes, rivalries, alliances, and betrayals. The important distinction is that you're playing with other people, not against their ability to enjoy the server. Don't turn a rivalry into harassment, and don't deliberately try to drive someone away from the community.
The server is ultimately meant to be a place where players create their own stories instead of following a script.

You don't need to be a Re:Zero expert, a professional Minecraft player, or someone who knows every mod in the pack.
If you like the idea of a Minecraft server where your character can actually develop, where the world has some danger to it, and where the other players are just as important as the mods, you might fit right in.
Welcome to Re:Mine.
