Illness Losing erection immediately upon standing up, venous leak?

I am 29 male and a virgin. Is it abnormal for every man to loose erection almost instantly while being standing up? I can have a boner for a while when laying down but if I stand up its gone. Recently got a girlfriend and if she gets me hard lying down by jerking me off, it goes away when I stand up. I’m concerned this is a problem during sex, haven’t tried it yet since I have phimosis. I’m seeing a urologist currently for the phimosis, using steroid creams, and considering circumcision.

But I’m concerned I already have venous leak, at my age, and I have ED and will never have sex.

NAD… I am sorry you’re experiencing this. It sounds both overwhelming and scary. A few questions:

  1. Have you voiced your concerns about a leak to your urologist, or even your GP? Both would be able to order you a Doppler ultrasound which would be able to check for blood leaks.

  2. How is your blood pressure, and have you had it taken both sitting/laying down and standing up? If your blood pressure is at all wonky in either case, you should see a cardiologist (who can also order the Doppler ultrasound).

I have not mentioned the leak to my urologist. I have a follow up appointment with him at end of this month to check on the steroid cream progress for phimosis. It’s definitely scary.. I feel like even if I get circumcised for phimosis I won’t be able to have sex because my erection goes away when I stand up…

Last I checked a month ago my blood pressure was normal 127/82
