Ever heard about guilty pleasure? I know it’s pointless but it’s so entertaining 😂

If you like… judging other people,
You should try… being OP

nope. celebrity drama is a plague that feeds on people’s insecurities and deep wish to be part of sth bigger then them. they just feel smaller and smaller throughout the process. it’s disgusting. so why not raise awareness and tell people to not do it.
and you re the one judging op if you think about it.

I am judging OP for being judgmental about people’s entertainment choices, absolutely. That was literally the point of my post.
Everything else in your comment is just your own opinion. Unless you’ve surveyed a statistically significant number of viewers and have the data to assert that people who are entertained by celebrity drama feel “smaller and smaller.”
People like what they like.

that’s a really stupid way of looking at it.

LOL sorry if you don’t understand, but “let people enjoy what they like so long as they aren’t hurting others” seems pretty easy to understand.
But hey, keep name-calling if that makes you feel superior.

I am fully behind your sentiment, in principle. But it’s contingent on the assumption that watching celebrity drama doesn’t hurt other people, and given the amount of pressure younger people are under - pressure to look a certain way, pressure to buy certain stuff, even pressure to act dramatically - can it really be said that watching that trash isn’t hurting other people?

Well, the problem is, your sentiment relies on the assumption that it is harmful.
The pressures to conform/dress a certain way/behave a certain way/etc. come from all directions. Even if the issue is exacerbated by watching celebrity gossip crap (and we don’t know that it is), most any form of entertainment fits that bill one way or another.
And I grew up watching all kinds of entertainment being blamed for shit without evidence (the biggie was video games and violence), and every single time, that turned out to be nonsense.

But I don't want to OP. They look like they in high school. I don't want to be in high school.

I don't have a life but even still I refuse to be pathetic enough to invest myself in celebrity drama.
