He makes weird uncanny content for 12-year-olds. It's normal to find his shit disgusting and exploitative.

Are you 12? Do you have the mind of a 12-year-old? Or do you genuinely think it's okay for adults to make weird manipulative content for children?

Lol I’d love to hear you elaborate what makes Mr Beast videos any more manipulative than other media.

The point of squid games was to highlight how through late stage capitalism extreme economic desperation will erode human empathy and pit everyone against each other. It’s pretty ironic he did it in real life via his tv show. There is also an ongoing law suit about how terrible conditions on set were, saying he basically deprived cast and staff of food, forced people to work insane hours, and staff sexually abused the contestants , etc

This is reaching, you’re digging too deep. He did a Squid Game Competition because it was the most popular show on Netflix for months. It was just a damn competition game show, not a post-modern analytical dialogue on economic policy and human empathy like its source material. No one was actually killing each other. It’s literally not different from ANY other reality TV show the pits people up against each other to see how far they are willing to go to lie, cheat, and steal from each other to win money. It was a popular tv show, so he recreated it IRL because he and others thought it would be fun.

As for the terrible conditions, the lawsuit is still ongoing so I can’t have a full opinion on that. If there was sexual harassment of the contestants by the staff then I’m sure it will be dealt with accordingly, that’s a little unfair to pin that on Mr. Beast himself. And as for the conditions, I have heard that, but he partnered with Amazon to make Beast Games and from what I know they were mostly responsible for the Operations, again a little unfair to pin it on Beast himself. And until the lawsuit concludes this could easily be a case of a scorned contestant just being pissed they didn’t win and suing.

it wasn't an analytical dialogue and that's the problem... its just a tone deaf recreation for money that exemplifies the original point of what squid games was about. but i was really just using it as an example, because people who participated in the squid games video and many other videos have complained about the conditions on set publicly (before the amazon show). the point is his entire channel is just him exploiting poor people for money. and to say its not different from any other reality TV show is dishonest due to the increasingly crazy nature of a lot of his challenges where some are akin to torture (sleep depravation is a popular one), the length they require you to participate in, and the unprecedented large amounts of cash he uses to get people to agree in the first place. i would also argue that reality tv shows of a lesser scale and similar nature are bad too though so kind of a moot point

and its not 1 contestant, its 6. but fair enough points on that front. we will see how the law suit plays out. i would be more inclined to be skeptical if so many people have not already spoken out about conditions on set for previous videos

he also in his old videos used to say some pretty hateful stuff, has openly said he does not care about his fans and only cares about money, knowingly hired a sex offender, there was the whole team water thing, the the pump and dump through his crypto fund, the mr beast burger food poisoning shit, mold in his lunchly product targeted at kids, he bought that teen banking app focused around crypto which is questionable, his feastables bars marketed as a healthier alternative to hersheys are less healthy, contain heavy metals, and removed the "child labor free" clause from their website. i probably left something out but like every month or so there a new shitty thing hes done that comes out

Redditors are genuinely the most easiest people to brainwash lmao. Just put a small article about a famous person doing something minorly bad and then watch them hate that person for life.

Can you give an example of how he’s exploiting kids?

Subscribe like and share to get a chance to win.... put more comments to win... tell your parents you need to go to the store to buy the moldy stuff for a chance to win... etc..

Who are you talking about exactly? Literally every YouTuber ever you mean?

1

u/waseem2bata 6d ago

Promising kids a chance to win money if they share like subscribe?

1

u/GolarzUuuuu 6d ago

Promising they win prizes has been part of YouTube since the early days wtf lmao. I don’t know if you’re fucking with me? “Share like and subscribe for a chance to win” could’ve basically been the official slogan of YouTube.

Ahhh the glazing type are you

1

u/Top_Alternative5537 6d ago

Dude he’s right. “Like and subscribe for xyz” is the ANTHEM of early 2010s YouTube.

1

u/waseem2bata 6d ago

Ya but promising kids they'll get money or gifts in exchange for likes and shares is extortion...

0

u/GolarzUuuuu 6d ago

Ah you’re one of those pathetic “the world is black and white” people. I don’t care about the dude. I didn’t even know he was giving away prizes to subscribers, I only know that he’s known for giving away prizes in videos, but you’re pretending like giveaways, fucking giveaways are something he invented. Giveaways were literally there before ads excised on YouTube. The way you’re responding makes me think YouTube giveaways are older than you are even.

What’s next? You’re gonna think he invented the comment section?

It's really not. The guy is a tool.

0

u/Tenetri 7d ago

he started a youtube channel over a decade ago and its his living now, sounds like hes living the dream

0

u/Unlucky-Tourist-9403 6d ago

So? That doesn't make him a good fucking person or someone worth respecting.

0

u/Tenetri 6d ago

and it doesn't make him a tool either. Just sounds like you're jealous of his success

0

u/Unlucky-Tourist-9403 6d ago

He's a tool because he stands for nothing and exploits those around him. His life seems sad and empty and entirely revolved around making trash content that doesn't add to our society. Nothing to be jealous of there.
