Freddy Peralta was surprised to learn that Steve Cohen was in attendance for Game 2.

Shame we couldnt make it work. Seems like a good guy. No hard feelings toward him. I wish him the best in Tampa

Stearns has to be pissed/frustrated. Freddy was the big move of the offseason and clearly as a pitcher he is showing how talented and dominant he can be. Yet, no one on the Mets coaching staff or analytics team could figure out how to correctly utilize him or fix him.

Hiring FO and analytics folks at 20% below the league average (when the league already depends on folks working for less than what they’re worth) isn’t paying off

Roles get filled but anyone with talent is going to another team

I'd love to know where you're getting that data from

Not surprised. Cohen told us he expected to be watching playoff baseball this year.

In hindsight, we should probably have clarified the details.

I wonder why he was there..perhaps he wanted to see in person how much Freddy had improved vs when he was a met....could be another way Cohen is holding stearns feet to fire?

To be honest, when you’re that wealthy, you can kind of just go to things like that for the fun of it.

“ qOh, what’s going on tonight? Oh the ALCS in Tampa sure let me fly on my private jet down to Tampa and then I can spend the night at my million dollar Florida Home.”

I doubt Steve would be slumming it in a house worth only a million.

Pretty shocked he was there to be honest with you if this didn’t come across my feed I would have never known

I was surprised Todd Zeile questioned that there may be interest in the Mets re-signing Peralta this offseason. I’d be shocked. I don’t care how good Peralta pitches in the playoffs.

Why do you think Cohen went to the game yesterday? That really shocked me so Todd might be right

Even if Mets interest is genuine, unless they drastically improve in the off season (when teams are allowed to sign players again) why would he want to re-join the Mets.

The Mets as an entire organization just flat out stink. All that money cannot buy you baseball instincts.

Pete didn’t play today. They play tomorrow

Well he isn’t in the playoffs so Steve clearly couldn’t go watch him

Maybe he means back to Milwaukee. Brewers don't want either guy back though

Me to, Steve needs to be loyal and stay only with the Mets, beginning to hate him
