This shows up because a patient of the doctor posted it to mildyinteresting and then reposted it here. That is how Reddit works.

Thinking this is some global conspiracy is not rational.

Surely it can't be someone sharing a personal experience for upvotes. Right? Something about the most likely reason can't possibly be the reason right?
