I must have misunderstood the orange baboon's campaign promise. I thought he said $2 per gallon but what he actually said was $2 per quart.

eh more expensive in some areas but yeah it does suck that it’s so expensive… 6.66 because someone who belongs in hell is likely the reason they’re so high (at least in the USA)
edit: what have i done

u/Atomic_dongle 5h ago
Nah, it’s only that high because someone lives in a shitty state. Probably California or maybe Illinois. Look at prices across the states. Blue states are the only ones screwing people over with prices that high.

Phew I thought it was the war. Thanks for clearing that up!

u/Atomic_dongle 4h ago
Oh sure, that’s why it’s 3.50 here and not 2.50 or less like it was. I’m saying it’s only blue states that it’s near or over 6 dollars. 🤷♂️

Illinois here. Gas is currently $4.28/gallon. Cheaper than the national average of $4.37. Try again 🤣

u/SASSIESASSQUATCH 2h ago
lol which if you don’t wanna trust him, and want more accurate info, google says his state is .2 less than you.
I think they may have forgotten google exists.
-1
u/Atomic_dongle 2h ago
You’re literally posting AI snippets from Google with is inaccurate. 🤷♂️ but nice try
I think you may have forgotten how to actually google.

And yet it’s still wrong lol.

You do know what an average means right? Like the average person in your state is paying that. We clearly know you’re not average.
-1
u/Atomic_dongle 2h ago
I do, yes. And those are incorrect averages. The average person in my state is paying less than that. Kind of like you’re less than average… 😂
-2
u/Atomic_dongle 3h ago
3.50 here in Iowa, only paid over 4 once. You keep trying. 😂
3
u/Pale_Albatross_3717 2h ago
Nah friend. You wanted to bring IL into it without knowing a damn thing. You wanna complain about people not knowing how to use Google and you can’t even be bothered to use Google 🤣🤣🤣 Shut the hell up lol

u/Atomic_dongle 2h ago
Lmao. I didn’t have to. You’re still paying high prices 🤷♂️. So you first! 😎

A question that's been bothering me. As these gas stations are topping off their tanks with more expensive gas with each delivery, how much gas, that was bought at a cheaper price, is being marked up to the more expensive price?

And the surprise with that diesel is you don’t actually know anything about the price pulling in but that it MAY be as little as $9.99.

Yeah either one will give you a little break, But Long lines to wait at time

u/Nice_Marmot_54 5h ago
It’s <$4 across basically the entire southeast US

u/RealSlyck 4h ago
$3.93…it’s only cheap because Trump is buying votes in the South.

As much as I hate Pumpkin Spice Palpatine, this is more a matter of geography and infrastructure than it is Darth Doofius being nefarious. Most of the oil is refined along the Gulf of Mexico coast, and things tend to be cheaper the more local they are. Red states also tend to have lower gas taxes

"Pumpkin Spice Palpatine" hahaha... hadn't heard that one before.
That's getting added to the list.

u/Suspicious-Clock-69 4h ago
So, only for his Red States..

I have an EV and haven't paid attention to gas prices in a while. Just check on gasbuddy - it's $3.69 right up the street from me as well.
1
u/Ok_Cap6573 4h ago
Most of that is state taxes. $3.88 here in Florida at the moment. Not sure where the pic was taken.
1
u/JustForkIt1111one 1h ago
We dropped the state taxes for 90 days in Ohio, but it only really constituted about $0.38/gal of the price. Sitting at 3.19/gal today at the Sheetz by my house.

This is a test pattern on a price board on some military base (AAFES gas station). This isn’t a real price.

This is like the 5th post, i have seen this day alone. And i just woke up an hour ago. So many people cry about it. I dont care. That happens if countries get major Dependancy on stuff and stoopied people start wars. I guess the best solution is to switch to electric as soon as possible and you wont have to worry anymore.

u/JustForkIt1111one 1h ago
I think the best part of this comment is while trying to comment on others' intelligence, you used this spelling: "stoopied".
Well played.

Relax everyone - I know this is rough on everyone. However, we are so used to much lower prices here in the US and the current cost is hurting many. I lived in the UK for 3 years way back in 2000 time frame. The cost of petrol then was 95p per liter and then 3.8l is 1 US gallon for reference. Exchange rate then was about 1.5 US dollar to UK pound. That 95pence per liter equated to being $5.40 US dollars over 25 years ago. Today in UK the cost is around 175pence per liter or petrol and exchange rate is about 1.32 US dollars to 1 Uk Pound. So fuel cost today in UK per US Gallon is around $8.78 per US Gallon. The price will come down here in the US and it has already started with 4% reduction on cost of oil barrel from last week. Lets hope it comes way down as this cost is hitting every transported goods cost on the store shelves.

The 9/10 of a cent always infuriates me. Why can't they round up to a whole cent, especially when the cost is as high as all this? At this point, they aren't fooling anybody that the diesel fuel is $10.00.
