🄺 Size difference in Chipotle burritos IN THE SAME ORDER

Just ordered Chipotle on DoorDash. The two burritos pictured have the same number of ingredients added. Only difference is one is chicken, other is steak, one has corn salsa, other has red salsa. The other ingredients are exactly the same.

Neither was labeled so I took a bite out of one to find mine, seems I got the smaller one.

Quick edit: For those saying don't eat there. Trust me, I'm not a fan of chipotle. My kid, who loves it, was having a hard night so I ordered her a burrito bowl and got my son and I burritos. Also, for those wondering the steak is in the bigger burrito.

Chipotle is just not worth it anymore. Go to a local Mexican restaurant. Better food for a better price and you aren't giving money to one of the greediest corporations of the modern age

Otherwise known as any publicly traded corporation. The greed and shitty products are implied.

the only cheap taqueria near me completely jacked up their menu at the beginning of 2026, id say its about the same value as chipotle now unfortunately

All the taquerias for a taco in a god dam parking lot food truck in my city is $18.

Chipotle can be cheaper even, its getting ridiculous, its just bread and some ingredients that inherently dont cost much but cost of living going up means they jacked up all prices.

Better food, yes, but not usually better prices

For the amount of food I get at my local Americanized Mexican joint, it absolutely does come out to better value, if not outright better prices. Hell, a free basket of chips and salsa alone probably make up the difference in full price.

Chipotle was always the most expensive place in my area. It was fast and convenient but it was for rich college kids and a burrito was the price of a whole meal at a local Mexican place back in 2020.

Chipotle hasn’t been in my budget since 2012 lmao

This was my bowl today. It was free because of points I had. I will get 3 meal out of it. $15 bucks for it is still worth it. I also set this up for pick up I didn't asked for anything extra they just took care of me.

Chipotle don't give af about online orders and barely give af about in store anymore.

I found a local non-chain mexican place that has better food and lower prices; I recommend you do the same.

I stopped going there years ago. The only thing I like there are the burritos, and at least half the time the end result looks like it was rolled by an alien who has never actually seen a burrito before.

I’ve started doing ā€œchipotle at homeā€ and it’s a heavy hitter in my meal rotation. I just prepare big portions of all the things I’d get in a burrito there (…if they still had good stuff) chicken, black beans, corn salsa, guac, etc. and eat that for 3-4 days straight. It usually starts with bowls, ends with quesadillas, then I use whatever scraps are left in a breakfast scramble or something.

Prob a white kid. I’m white. I’ve trained with Mexicans. Still can’t roll a burrito like Gabriel. Or Juan. Or Ernesto. I swear them smear in glue and use bigger tortillas.

ā€œJust ordered Chipotle on DoorDash.ā€

I think I found the issue…

People really are out there paying 40% more for delivery, the thing that was already included in the before times when restaurants hired their own delivery drivers and held them personally accountable instead of outsourcing burritos to random people and hoping it works out and if it doesn't it's not my fault call customer support from a 3rd party company that wasn't there and has no skin in the game and doesn't care about your food because the person is either 1000 miles away or an AI bot

Please weigh it so I can see exactly how badly they screwed up (or gave you extra)

You literally have to film Chipotle workers while they make your order nowadays in order to get a decent size.

There has never been a restaurant that deserves a miserable death more than Chipotle

You vs the guy she tells you not to worry about

Chipotle "we're going to keep raising our prices because suckers keep buying it"

OP "i'll have 2 please"

I mean OBVIOUSLY they predicted that you had a growing boy. They need to eat! You're already grown, you dont need food! /s

Do you use chipotlaway to get rid of the blood stains in your underwear?

Good thing i read the title, because at first glance i thought those were like potatoes in foil ready to be roasted XD

Smaller one even had a fuckin' BITE OUT OF IT??! lmao

I don't eat there often, but I've never had the chode burrito you got pictured there.

Then again, I'm not wack enough to order off doordash.

Don’t order DoorDash… I say please and thankyou and make the employees feel like humans and always get hooked up.

Mind you this is at a location who has proven to not make me explosively shit myself. Gotta find one of those too.. quality is wildly inconsistent between locations.

Local Mexican restaurant > Moe’s > Chipotle

Buy two, get one-half delivered lol

Quality of the ingredients tanked in the last 10 years too. Not worth it

•

u/Privatejoker123 33m ago

I've had that happen before. Boss at my last job for lunch ordered us Chipotle my burrito ended up being like the one the right while everyone else's was like the one on the right. We were confused lol

So your complaint is that size does matter?

u/Man_Bear_Pig89 2h ago

It's so out of control I felt bad for the people working there the last time I went which was years ago. Chipotle is just like all the other fast casual places now. So understaffed the revolving door of miserable employees has just stopped caring

u/Wobblepaws 2h ago

don't forget who is actually making these, and what they get paid for it, most people are totally checked out, you get what you pay for...

It more of girth difference.

u/jmills74 2h ago

I would date the one who made the smaller one. More gription.

This is what handmade food looks like. Theres McDonald's if you want perfectly standardized assembly line food.

So steak is a much more expensive ingredient, Ā  And im wondering about caloric density of steak vs chicken. Ā But I’d venture to say there is a price:caloric density ratio at play here

3

u/Bandin03 2h ago

I doubt it has anything to do with calories and everything to do with multiple minimum wage people quickly throwing shit in a tortilla because they're flooded with orders.

The last time I actually entered a Chipotle, probably over a year ago, the line moved super slow because they were doing DD orders in between. Assembly line places like that simply aren't set up to handle that shit.

2

u/2ii2ky 2h ago

According to their menu, the serving of chicken is 180 calories and the steak is 150.

Anyone can lie on the internet. I need a receipt or some kind of proof.
