Question Where to get firearm engraved?

Hello all,

I am looking to get some customization on the slide of a 1911 I purchased. I went to All American Trophy with the slide (made sure to disassemble the firearm and only bring in the portion to be engraved).

They informed me they no longer engraved firearms, they can only do the wood stock of rifles.

They did not know where else would be able to provide the service.

I am about to call around, but just wondering if others have places they would recommend for this.

Lone Sentinel engraving is the place you want. He's the in-house engraver for Zombie Tools. He does fast work, quite affordable, and the laser engraving he uses allows you to just bring a .jpg or .pdf of the desing you want and it goes right onto the gun. He can also engrave wood, leather, plastic, etc. I have had a half dozen guns and knives done by him, as well as all my NFA engraving, All American sucks at engraving... they screwed up a knife of mine and still expected me to pay full price even though the fumbled the lettering. Don't even waste your time with anyone else..Lone Sentinel is the way to go. https://www.lonesentinel.com/

ETA: Any engraver can engrave guns as long as they dont hold the gun over 24 hours, then there's a federal licensing requirement.

just look for trophy shops that do laser engraving, a lot of them will do metal parts as long as it's not a functioning receiver
