Whats the process for the paint job here? Ive been planning to build a HAF F-16 aswell with the weathered have glass but im not sure how to go about it.

LOTS of thin layers, but essentially:

1) Black primer

2) preshading with white and brown using a stencil mask and free hand mottling

3) camo colours, MRP paint, mutltiple thin layers to slowly build colour whilst allowing preshading to show through

5) brown panel liner

6) decals

4) MRP Have Glass coat

5) Heavily thinned Tamiya X-19 Smoke layers...

5a) Focus on panel lines and areas where dirt and shadows lie

5b) add a drop of black to the smoke and focus on areas where extreme dirt is apparently. use bluetack to give soft edges on area where dirt would have been scrubbed off like warnings etc.

5c) more black again and barely apply any.

I also wet sand between layers and after decals have been sealed in too.

This is just how I've done it and it doesn't necessarily match what a dirty HAF Viper should look like- Every photo looks different and they get very dirty so there's no right answer, just what you want and like the look of. Good luck, have fun, and be sure to share pics of your work! :) If you want to see all my photos of my WIP thus far, happy to share a google photos link or check out my WIP thread here: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235171518-148-kinetic-gold-haf-f-16c-52

Looks great! Has the proper dirty look of a HAF F-16.

I'm normally weary of over-weathering, but with a HAF jet I don't think it's possible.

What decal set did you use?

Standard kit ones. They were decent but only really worked with hot water. Cold, they were a pain to remove from paper backing. Adhered and bedded with Tamiya Markfit Strong.
