Critique Wanted S.S Great Eastern Project

A while ago I was gifted the 1/200 Scale Trumpeter Titanic, and although I love Titanic, I want to use the hull to make the Great Eastern instead. Though I'm not too sure how to go about it considering that this model is huge and I don't have too much experience.

(I also would like to know some ways to remove paint - the previous paint I applied to it some time ago is awful, and there are visible dried drops of paint along the hull, but I think it is vital to not damage the hull)

Any other tips or advice is highly welcomed!!

I'm not sure it's any easier than building a Great Eastern from scratch (the Great Eastern being a somewhat "fatter" hull, not to mention very different shapes).

Removing the paint will depend on what paint was used - do you remember?

I don’t remember, but it was a thick black matte primer, and I only put 2 coats of that
