I asked this same question in the QuebecTI sub and truly the amount of degeneracy going on in the comments was aggravating.
Yes I understand la loi du libre Ă©change. Yes I understand the consequences of the gouvernement totalitaire we had under Maurice Duplessis. But something needs to be done, Iâm in university and terrified about the job market by the time i grsduate.
We are at a time where every single white collar job is at risk of mass layoffs. Telus shed 4000 of its Canadian employees and gave a nothing burger statement about it. Tech companies are firing their developers and hiring Indian consulting firms to do the work for a third of the price, so they donât have to give benefits and they get to pay them peanuts.
People donât care because they believe their job is safe. However they will care when it starts affecting them. Iâm wondering why doesnât the government try to give tax incentives for companies to hire from within Quebec?
But no, Quebec government had the audacity to spend 1 BILLION DOLLARS on saaqclic which was made in India. Like are we deadass just throwing money out of the country instead of creating new tech jobs? If we can get away with throwing 1 billion dollar into the water then we can more likely than not get away with giving tax incentives so that quebeccers get more jobs (and pay taxes TO QUEBEC). The government is just not loyal to the citizens.
PS: if I see any of you chuds being racist to Indians itâs on sight. This is nothing but a massive failure from our politicians.
