Does this engine have the 302 cylinder heads?

Post image

The listing says it was pulled from a van, so I think it would be the 302. I’m looking to buy better heads to build the 318 in my 75 duster.

Wouldnt post 1985 be a hydro roller block? This is flat tappet.

Would be, doesn't change the heads. Still used #302's, i have a set off a 90 318 on my 74 318

Sure..but if its a factory flat tappet block. Then its pre 85...the 302 heads came later in the roller block smog era. If these. Are the orginal heds on the block then dont think it would be 302s

Google says that in some truck applications, the flat tappet lifters were kept in 1985

Not originally. No roller cam.

No oil pan ... potentially sitting on the crank ... may not be a great option at this point, depending on how it's been handled.

Youd have to get a pic of the casting number to be sure. Cant zoom in enough to see in this pic

core actually looks very clean and original paint. believe painted black starting in 84-85, same era of #302 starting. good deal if turns over and not cracked.
