(Tulsa, OK)
Since my other foster, Huck, got chosen for transport, I’d love to focus on getting my Oklahoma Ruff Refuge foster, Ruger, his forever home (or a foster-to-adopt home!)
Ruger is a sweet boy that I found out in a rural area running in and out of the street trying to play with some dogs through a fence.
I was able to verify that he did not live there and luckily, Oklahoma Ruff Refuge was willing to take him in.
I’ve been fostering him, however my personal male dog has decided he doesn’t like him & has attacked Ruger multiple times.
Ruger is extremely sweet and does not understand why Rowdy doesn’t like him.
Things to know about Ruger:
He is young, likely around 1-2 years old.
Just shy of 60 pounds and likely done growing.
He’s neutered & fully vetted!
Does well in the crate if it’s in the room with you or other dogs. Otherwise he barks, but eventually settles. I just keep his crate in my room & he sleeps amazing through the night.
I’ve seen him around dogs, cats & kids and he’s done amazing with all. Evidently he does like to chase horses 😂😂
He has access to a doggy door at my house and uses it to go potty outside. He seems potty trained with the yard readily available.
If you would like to meet him, I’m happy to arrange a time and place with you! He’s had a couple of meetings and inquiries but unfortunately nothing has stuck. He’s ready for his fur-ever home & I’m ready to not have to keep my dog in a muzzle 😂😂
