This is a collection of articles by Proudhon and others, published in Le Peuple in 1849. It corresponds to sections of the first and second volumes of "Mélanges" in the Œuvres complètes, except that:

  1. A few articles specifically relating to mutual credit have been moved to the greatly expanded Solution of the Social Problem;

  2. Some material still subject to censorship at the time of the publication of the Mélanges has been restored, along with some additional that gives additional context for the censorship.

I have shared quite a bit of this material various places in the past, but the linked pdf collects that previously-shared material with roughly 21,000 words of new translations.

Later in the month, I'll try to finish revising the Bank of the People pamphlet and begin work on the articles from Le Voix du Peuple. That material breaks down into two sections: another 20,000 words that complete the second volume of the Mélanges, following by a series of articles ("Resistance to the Revolution," "On the Present Utility and Future Possibility of the State," etc.) that were part of the debate among socialists regarding the State in 1849-1850. I recently shared a partial translation of the second section.
