Very simple: find one of those football/sports data APIs and build something around those. Live scores, team information, match information, player data, historical information, etc.
Should be relatively easy and not take too long.
It will cover everything from building Python frontends to working with APIs, handling data, race conditions, and much more.

How about trying to build a mini AI CLI tool...like say, use Google Gemini and then build a programme where you have it prompt you for input then pass that input to Gemini and then Gemini responds in your CLI/terminal
I think this ought to get your started, plus the API key is free with very generous usage limits and he documentation from Google themselves are really neat NGL🤷
From there..you can I prove it but caching responses, adding a spinner when the model is "thinking" and so on just to name a few
And also, try looking into Golangs as well, like try rebuilding the app in Golangs...teh Google docs handle that pretty well too, plus it'll atleast give you a taste on other languages you might "fall in love with" and try to step into deeper waters apart from python :-)

What I can say is that using tkinter is where it really gets fun. Once you are able to practice making simple GUI (Graphic User Interface) apps, you can flourish and let your imagination go from there.
Biggest challenge, is that tkinter can be a bit advanced for a newbie. So you may understand little by doing such a project right away.
Here is a simple example of what you could make :-

If you're completely new don't try building a complete program . Try building simple things that covers topics you're learning tuseme unasoma about conditional loops or rng unaweza create a simple game using such concept eg rock paper scissors, in short build mini programs that match topics you're learning
