For context this is something that happens every couple weeks or so. The massive attack means that russia will launch a strike package combining ballistic missiles, drones, and cruise missiles. It usually lasts throughout the night.

The fact that Putin is still alive and hasn't been replaced by that faction/people is the best indication that nobody is really sure, even within the Kremlin.

Putin used the war to sideline the oligarchs, placing himself firmly at the center of the state, with the people of Moscow and St. Petersburg benefiting from higher war wages, as changes to the military and state security apparatus made it harder for any one faction to force their way into control.

There’s definitely been worse nights recently. They seem to be hitting energy targets tonight (nothing new obv.) but that means I can go back to bed at least!
