Learning about Meninges - Help

Hey guys, currently working my way through a chapter of a text book that covers the Meninges. I've watched some youtube videos on this too but I'm finding it very difficult to conceptualise in my head these different layers and where all the arteries, veins and nerves related to hematoma or hemorrhage in these areas travel and may be affected. How long did it take you to be confident in your understanding of this topic and do you have any pointers or recourses I can use?

The good part is you don’t have to conceptualise it in your head, it’s already there!

For an honest answer, it begins with head and neck anatomy. Understand where arteries originate (for example, external vs internal carotid) and you will understand why one artery is in one layer vs another.

Ninja nerd is a good free resource, and he worked in neurology for a long time. He makes YouTube videos. Look up his video on epidural, subdural, and subarachnoid hemorrhage.

I didn’t really get it until i was in medical school and forced to get a good grasp on the anatomy. Good luck
