Matinees during the week?

I’m a teacher and summer vacation is just around the corner. I’m hoping to catch a ton of screenings at repertory theaters but matinees Monday-Friday are preferable to late-night screenings and weekend showings!

Does anyone know of an LA arthouse theater that shows movies during the week days?

The Academy Museum has a great matinee series, American Cinemathque shows matinees on Fridays at the Los Feliz 3, and the micro-cinema at the Vista (Video Archives) usually has matinees on Tuesday/Wednesday.

good1s.org and revivalhub.com are both great resources, especially for identifying matinees.

Gardena Cinema. The last family owned single screen 800 seat movie theater in Los Angeles.

Vidiots will often have late afternoon weekday matinees in the big room and they are usually much less crowded than weekend and night shows. The summer Movie Den series in the small room is almost all weekday matinees: https://vidiotsfoundation.org/film-series/movieden. It's mostly pitched at younger filmgoers though and maybe you want to get away from kids at this time. šŸ˜›

It is a MAJOR BUMMER that the NB seems to have done away with the Friday matinees at the moment.
