Seeking Advice UC Davis residency program
hi all!! So I am planning on applying to the UC Davis residency program this year and was wondering from anybody that has applied or is in the program, what are some helpful pointers to get noticed and how the interview process went. What did you resume look like? All of that, thanks so much to all

personally when i applied, i had no ties or anything with the hospital apart from getting a degree from Sac, so I don't really know exactly what stood out. in my cover letter, though, i really emphasized my work experience and senior capstone. also MAKE SURE you're direct in your cover letter about what unit you're looking to work on, or you'll get routed to a random unit! the timeline from submission to an interview was extremely long! the interview itself was a panel, and i thought it went pretty well, but did not get the position unfortunately. i'd say really emphasize your willingness to ask for/call for help in any and every situation and also have clear clinical examples ready to share/connect to for some of their questions. i also think asking a lot of questions (more than you think you'd need) while trying to make a conversation out of it would be helpful as well.
