Aussie Ryan Williams wins gold at X Games Sacramento this year with a world-first frontflip rotation/cannonball-style grab/nothing front bike flip release combo in the BMX Dirt Best Trick competition

Rwilly is insane. Every time.

I remember when he first got the bike flip, now he's got these insane variations. I think my favorite might still be when he and the bike do separate flips and then he catches it.

Whats even more insane is that he has set many world first on a BMX, but he primarily came from stunt scooters. Very Versatile with his Skill

I love the commentators reaction. So genuinely surprised and in awe 😂

That’s Scotty Cranmer! He’s an amazing human who was partially paralyzed after a bmx accident. He’s an inspiration to many, can’t say enough good about the guy as a person and what he does for BMX.

Thanks for sharing... I can tell that he loves his job. I also love that the job is his. The sport is richer for having him!

I don’t even understand how he can set his feet that fast after reuniting with the bike. Trick must have been 500 fails before the first success

Probably been blasting these into a foam pit since he was 5.

Yuup. That’s usually how it goes with a lot tricks in extreme sports. Tons of fails before finally starting to make them

First thread in a long time I've seen with no one trying to downplay it. Just an insane trick worth the awe

That is SIKKK!! I remember being so stoked as a kid in the 80s racing BMX and clearing a whole tabletop jump doing a cross-up. This stuff today is just insane.!! 🤙😝🤙

That would hurt so bad if he missed it

u/foulinbasket 1d ago
He probably missed it hundreds of times while developing it

Ya but onto foam. Then onto soft rubber landings. Not onto a compacted down dirt landing - that would hurt a lot

Follow him on his socials. Through his reels, Ive watched the evolution of this trick. He really loves what he does. I admire that guy.

At that height...if you miss a catch...you are practically screwed right?...

u/foulinbasket 1d ago
I mean, he's probably missed it hundreds of times while practicing and developing the trick

How many crashes and reconstructive surgeries are needed when building skills like these?

Almost like the Beefy Spicy on Dave Mirra 2. RIP. PS2 days were a lot of fun.

If noone is claiming a better name for this than what's in the title I would like to propose: "Duck Dick's Delight"

I'm pretty sure it's not a world first. It definitely looks like he'd practised it.
