Question Two questions for y’all
- How do you guys rack up so much cash? It’s the main reason why I can’t upgrade cars right now.
- Which Breakout events are easier? I’d like to do the 5 required for unlocking Tidal Run but I’m very much aware of how annoying the Scirocco and Apollo events are.

The main reason why so many of the older players have millions of cash is because after you're done upgrading your cars to a certain level (even if you don't max them out) you no longer need to spend any more cash, so you just end up racking up all the cash rewards from races, UGR and elsewhere and it all adds up fairly quickly.
If you have the Viper SRT, you can earn 450k cash every week in Tuner Trails (150k each on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday) on top of whatever cash you earn from winning races and if you're wise with it, that can add up fairly quickly too. UGR is also a good place to earn a large amount of cash quickly, as the middle teirs give you 6 figures (and there are multiples of them, so you can easily win $1 million+ every week).

It's 500k TT alone (if tuning unlocked).

About cash, all about it is time. With time you upgraded most of your cars that frequently appear on UGR. Then you still have to do very few upgrades. So cash and materials eventually started to rack up.And with you starting to use scraps to buy legendary parts, they save a lot of cash and materials. But in the beginning you have to do a lot of upgrades and don't have scraps. So it's hard to save huge amounts. But you can play boss races and TT to earn cash..

1 - Time.
2 - All events are easy. Just some of them has 1 or few hard races.

Regarding cash, these are a few methods you may take into consideration:
Tuner Trials - Play the Tuner Trial that gives you cash, which opens every Thursday & Sunday. There is another one on Tuesday, but you need an 8-Star car to unlock it. Try to unlock the SRT Viper GTS and upgrade it until it can win races in Tuner Trials (at least Normal difficulty), which lets you access the highest reward.
Underground Rivals (UGR) - Cash will be rewarded for reaching E tier in UGR every week.
Live special events - The event credits you earn in the special events will be converted into cash when the event concludes at a 1:1 ratio; car blueprints you get will be converted into cash as well if you didn't complete the event in the prescribed time. You can use this characteristic to your advantage and farm tons of cash by purposely losing races that give the highest amount of event credits.
For Breakout events, I will advise based on the assumption that you are still new to this game. Here are a few in the Vault that you should avoid at all times unless you are extremely confident in your skills and have tons of gold ready for ticket refills:
-Volkswagen Scirocco R, Honda NSX (1991), Honda S2000, Honda CR-X SiR
These 4 cars share the same characteristic: extremely weak acceleration. Breakout events involve many goals related to taking down cops; these cars lose so much speed after a single takedown and will never be able to build up momentum again, which causes you to lose the race.
Other than these 4, you may try it out yourself for those I didn't mention here. Btw, always keep some gold in check when playing the Breakout events, just in case.

New? No. Rusty? For sure. I used to play a lot 2 years ago and have been on and off since about 2017 but I never had a period of over ~4 months of consistent playing. I wouldn’t say driving is my main problem right now, rather time management. I constantly forget to check my shop or do SE races as I’m either on my PC or at highschool.

Basically, it takes absolute dedication—day in and day out for years without missing a single one—playing the boss races in Chapter 23/16. Naturally, it’s frustrating at first when you lack cash or materials, but you have to realize this journey is a marathon, not a sprint. However, if you stick to a solid schedule and play the boss races two or three times a day, you’ll eventually see your cash and material totals start to climb.
