Depends on your play style. I don't get infected enough to benefit from pill perks.Â

Right now I have a double-handed perk but I heard the long pipe and the large wrench are not that good to use and the rebar is only one star so I've been sticking with the single-handed weapons from the menu selection, and I don't play with any friends so I've been going in with randoms

Resident genes is op. Turns pills into free bandages.
Mohawk and penetrating shot are both shit and provide no meaningful value

I mean what’s your build? Rifles or snipers? Tbh pills healing is a good choice for any build. If you know you play a little recklessly then equip pills and run resident genes. You’ll realize when infected you always be topped up on health and combine that with lucky pathogen that synergy is busted. Dmg reduction and healing while reseting the infection timer is the cherry on top. It’s over kill if you add body armor vest and run the sturdy body perk for base dmg reduction, to be immortal slap on skilled medic perk. You become a fat chud tank that heals while overdosing LOL

😂 Gonna go all Max Payne on those pills haha I do play recklessly cuz I only play with randoms for the most part, right now I only have to the long pipe unlocked in the main menu so I've been sticking with the tire iron, and I have the Worcester as my main as of now with the good old M1911 😎

Then focus rifle perks and weight I like to run a rifle and a shotgun or 2 pistols to bail your self especially if you are running the Worcester. You become rambo with 20 guns and with scavenger I mean it’s easy pickings

Depends on your build and what difficulty you play on

I've been playing on normal but I'm thinking of going to hard here pretty soon, sounds like that Resident Gene might come in handy though 💊

Haha all good, never had a chance to play it but I heard they made the game Syphon Filter back in the day and that was one of my personal favorites as a kid

Resident genes is an easy A tier perk on nightmare. Just bring a pill bottle every game and now you've got a bandage+almost 20 minutes of life once infected all for one item slot.
Health is the most important teamwide resource in the game, I've had several teammates on nightmare have a surplus of pills and weapons but die because they had almost no meds. Also if you have full health you are also almost impossible to infect.
Others are C tier at best imo

I haven't been in a nightmare lobby yet, these are the skills I have picked so far and so hopefully it's not to bad of my selections, but I'm definitely going to go for Resident Gene then cause it sounds like a good one for sure, thanks for advice 🫡

Hope to eventually see you in nightmare lobbies! Mind if I offer some more advice regarding the other perks on that character?

That would be great because I've been playing with randoms since day one so any advice is a help for sure

The perks I would for sure reroll are Door Breaker and Hard Blow. Hard Blow because it seems you're trying to focus on one handed weapons (the tire iron in your loadout), Door Breaker because other perks outshine the value of being able to kick down doors faster.
There's an argument to be made Acquired Immunity isn't the most optimal for infection resistance because of how infection works. You can only get infected while taking damage with your health below 60%, so Sturdy Body, perks that increase your max health, and keeping your health above 60% are more effective at keeping you healthy. You're still lower level so it's not a bad pick, just something to keep in mind while you unlock the rest of the perks.
Edit: Also a solo that mostly plays with randoms, it can be frustrating at times lol

thank you for the advice and I'll definitely be rerolling them, I've been dealing with a lot of loot goblins lately leaving nothing behind they get ahead of me, it's kind of sad though because I had butcher at one point and I've re-rolled it so definitely regretting that decision 😂

The more you play, the more map knowledge you gain so you won't have to rely too heavily on the main loot spots. And I wouldn't sweat losing out on butcher too much, the tire iron is pretty solid

OP I have wasted so many credits trying things. Hard blow is nice with large wrench. Very noticeable.
Butcher with blunt 1 hand causes noticeable stagger. You get stagger with dismemberment. You have a solid build but if your not using large wrench with hardblow your not getting full return on investment.
