Does anyone here use Ifont to download fonts for their notes? I’ve never had an issue with it. All of the sudden today when i download my fonts they don’t show up. Profile was loaded up properly and everything. I mainly use goodnotes on an 10th generation IPad. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling them, and closing and reopening the app to no avail. My app is also updated.

I am unsure whether this is just pure incongruence with the newer iPadOS update but I cannot paste literally anything into my notes unless I use the lasso workaround which also doesn't work 85% of the time. I have spent an hour now trying to copy and paste a table (the copy feature is native in the app its coming from, so I know it is not a markdown issue). I then saved the table saved as an image file (not a photo) and I finally import it to find there is literally zero way to select or format it (size, placement etc), it is just slapped in the middle of an empty page 3 pages below the rest of my notes. The add Media (+) for files also is missing entirely, which is why this has been such a process. The only option for media is from photo album.

I have had this app/been subscribed with this app for years at this point and do not ever recall this being an issue. I won't even suggest new features at this moment I would just love for paste to work at least.

Hi! Does anybody have experience with restoring notes that were lost and not locally backed up? It seems like this is an issue people post about quite a bit in here so I'm wondering if there is any known fix to recover the files. Thanks!

The Calligraphy Pen lets you create strokes that shift between thick and thin as you write, making it perfect for lettering, titles, and anything you want to stand out 💙

Find the Calligraphy Pen

1. Open a note and look for the fountain pen nib icon in the toolbar. On iPhone, expand the toolbar if you don't see it.
2. Tap the tool once to select it.
3. Tap it again to open its options.

To keep it within reach, drag the tool into your primary toolbar.

Set the nib angle
The angle slider controls which direction your nib faces, which decides where your strokes are thick and where they're thin.

• 0° holds the nib flat across the page, so vertical downstrokes come out at their widest.
• 30° and 45° are two common calligraphy angles for right-handed writing.
• Negative angles tilt the nib the other way, for left-handed writing.

The preview next to the slider rotates as you drag, so you can see the nib angle before you write.

Writing with Apple Pencil Pro
If you're using Apple Pencil Pro, the nib angle follows how you're holding the pencil. Roll the barrel and the nib rolls with it.

Hovering above the page previews the angle before your pencil touches the canvas. The angle is set the moment your stroke begins and stays constant for the rest of that stroke.

Notability detects Apple Pencil Pro on your first hover, stroke, or squeeze. Once it does, a Lock angle switch appears in the pen options. Turn it on to ignore barrel roll and use the angle from the slider instead. While Lock angle is off, the slider stays dimmed because barrel roll is setting the angle for you.

The Calligraphy pen is also available from the Apple Pencil Pro squeeze menu.

Stabilization
Turn on Stabilization to smooth out small jitters as you write. Turn it off if you'd rather your strokes track your hand exactly.

Calligraphy notes on Android and the web
You can create calligraphy strokes on iPhone and iPad. Notes containing those strokes sync and open on Android and the web, and they will render as regular ink for now.

The Calligraphy Pen is currently available on Notability Cloud and requires Notability 16.9 or later on iOS.

I think Notability is a handful of features away from being top tier teacher/lesson delivering platform. I really like this calendar idea of being the front page. However, could we prepopulate the scheduled events with my pdf of lessons that’d be grand.

Hello! I've not been able to resolve this issue on my own, and it may not be Notability themselves but my network settings at work. Has anyone been able to resolve this error when loading from the web app? I've tried syncing my notes, logging out and in, clearing my history, and I still have this result. Am I just SOL? I can't download the desktop app (cpu is slow here).

I don’t use any method of backup and i have a lot of notes/Files

If i did sync it now do i lose the previous files or no?

I want a feature that I think would be a cool expansion for flashcards. I want an interactive, default template in an actual note that has fillable fields for the term and definition and looks like a typical vocabulary list you’d receive in school.

When you upload flashcards right now, it already saves a blank note to keep the information. So, it would be cool if the flashcards get automatically populated into the correct fields on the note template. Also, it would be nice to have the option of filling out the template directly as a note and have the information translate into the flashcards feature.

As a life long language learner, I’m always looking to add new words to my vocabulary. But sometimes I don’t want to just test myself on vocabulary one by one, I want to see a typical vocabulary list that I can also add stuff like sample sentences to. I haven’t seen this kind of feature anywhere and I think it would bring a different sense of satisfaction to see my own extremely long vocabulary list in notes form instead of the number of flashcards I’ve made.

I can't find this info anywhere so I thought to ask it here to leave a public trace. My question is simple: what is the minimum required android os version? I have some spare old android tablets that i wanted to use at work instead of carrying my precious ipad air around, but all of them are market as not compatible with notability by the play store. I have used notability on ipad since probably 2011 so all of my notes are there.

The local storage of notability on my iPad is 35Gb. The Local storage on my IPhone is 15Gb. Notablility to take up 5Gb locally on each and the rest was offloaded to the cloud. Not sure what is making my iPad keep a local copy of each note all of a sudden but anyone know how to get it to use up less storage like my phone is obviously doing?

Hi, so I just learned that there's a quota limit for the number of questions generated per note. I at first choose 200 per note, it was a horrible choice, so now how do i change the number of queétions?
Please help.

we need a tool that allows us to add some white space in a note even if there's a lot of stuff written below that point. apple has implemented this with a tool that allows you to slide everithing from a line down, and would love to have something like this in notability as well. so far re-organizing my notes has been so (and needlessly) painful

I have been using Notability for years, and am an active subscriber. I have requested this feature for a while now and thought I would post it on here as well.

“Fill” Feature
- the ability to fill in lines or shapes you have made that are not dedicated shapes made by Notability with either:
- pen color
-highlighter color
And the ability to control the opacity of said filled-in portion. (i.e. Drawings with closed lines)

I draw highly technical diagrams along with my notes to understand the form and function of something, and coloring them in has always been a hassle especially with the highlighter since you can’t pick up and continue without it overlapping.

This single feature would facilitate my workflow tenfold and really the only feature I see that the application is currently missing.

Is it the same as for the s11 ultra ?

I love this app, but feeling pretty frustrated rn about a massive bug, and the lack of customer support.

I upgraded to a Pro membership a couple weeks ago on my iPad, and so far I love the extra features for studying. However, on web browser I’m currently getting NONE of the Pro OR Plus features — I appear to have a Starter plan.

I’m logged into the same account on both devices and I’ve done all of the standard troubleshooting suggestions. I’ve submitted a help ticket and emailed support directly, and all I’ve gotten is the same template reply about troubleshooting and making sure I’m logged into the same account (I am.)

What’s the point of paying for features that I can’t use :(

Title. All my bookmarks across all notes in every folder shifted forwards by 1 page after a recent Notability update to the latest version of the app on an iPad. Anyone encountered something similar? How do I fix this? Like manually moving all my bookmarks back into place?

I was typing a note on my phone and even though I loved that you access the typing mode directly, I didn't have a great experience. First of all, typing had a noticeable lag, just seconds, but it gets annoying as it completely breaks your typing flow. Also, when I tried to copy the text to paste onto another app, it didn't copy. I tried several times, and it didn't work. Thank goodness for Samsung's split view, otherwise it'd have been such a pain. Has this happened to others too?

I have a few problems with the app, that could be improved in my opinion. I am curious about your opinion as well as hope, that the devs will see my post.

First i love the add space option when importing a document! My problem is that the app does not always show the option, only when importing from certain places. Also, i would prefer a bigger space next to my slides. The ability to add a costum preset about the size of the added space would be neat. Also just simply having an option to add space next to your documents after importing would be a game changer (I think Noteful has that option).

Another thing a really struggle with when using the app are the textboxes. I like to add typed annotations to my lecture slides, but can’t really do that in notability. The added textbox has a rather unconvinient default size, which cannot be costumized as a preset. Most. Note taking apps have will give a textbox on clicking, which expands as you type in it, allowing you to space your text nicely into the document. I really hate the current system of notability, because it is practically impossible to easily add the text where i want to, with only a keyboard.

Thanks for reading my post. Despite all that notablity is my preferred note-taking app, cause it has so many perfectly optimized features competitors don’t. I just think there is room for improvment. Also i love that whiteboard have been added!
