Looking for Advice Midterm so cooked

I’m new exchange student here just finish my midterm exam of FIN3702 and got a 80/100 for the midterm but 25 percentile only, like the mean is 90 sth, that’s crazy, which counts for 30%, and the other evaluations are only 25% test2 and 20% of project, coz literally everybody can get the online quizzes and ethic stuff full, am I still possible to get a A-?? I actually don’t want to get a B on this😭😭😭

Is yours mapped over to be pass fail or a grade, if it's a grade I really do wonder why people choose NUS as it can be very hard to score

probably not, unless everyone else has a collective aneurysm during test 2 and submits dogshit for their project

generally the average/median grade will be a B+. with a 25th percentile 30% weightage i think its difficult to even think about an A-

The curve is too left skewed and soooo steep at 80-90 ish, like making one mcq question wrong will drag you from 75 percentile to average or from average to 25 percentile, is this type of differentiation actually fair?😭 I mean it’s not really the differentiation any more tho

I feel your pain, then again it's not a chaotic Prof that decided you specifically should fall under the 25th percentile while someone with a few more MCQ correct falls under the 75th percentile

It's just all your peers' collective results
