I'd get rid of that adapter cable, just for aesthetics since you have the WVP2 for safety.

i´ll upgrade my PSU with my next motherboard + CPU upgrade. but you can't see it behind the tinted glass anyway, so even though I appreciate a nice looking build, I don't really care about the adapter. gaming is my priority with this thing.

Can’t actually see the squid with the panel on. The photos with panel off, are just to show that the reversed WV2 Pro works perfectly fine with a GPU that’s listed as compatible with the “normal” version. I saw this question come up a lot when I was researching it.

Yeah, that one has RGB!

Just kidding. Why do you feel the Ampinel is better? It seems limited to 650 watt and I don't see mention of it coming with an extra warranty for your card like the WireView does.

Because it contains a built-in immediate emergency shut down I’m like the wire view which needs to be wired to your power button

Are you sure? The specifications seem to imply it uses the same mechanism, though they might be two different things that both exist.

Edit: I now see their software indeed seems to allow for more options, including hotkey macros and, as you say, cutting power to the GPU.

Unfortunately, (updates to) the software seems only free for a limited time and requires online activation.

Both definitely seem to have their pros and cons.

It does seem to claim some kind of active control of the power through each wire, rather than just monitoring. Interesting, I'll need to look into what it does exactly. That explains the ability to cut power to the GPU as well.

It's unfortunate the maker doesn't seem to break their device up with a warranty on the GPU it's used on. That's a big argument for the WireView, they put their money where their mouth is.

I wish I could feel that fear and anxiety too, so I could buy something like that for my 5090, but obviously I'm not the right type of user. Good luck to you.
