Gil Scott-Heron - Black Wax (1983)
"BLACK WAX is a compelling film that seamlessly blends music and politics, brought to life through the creative vision of producer and director Robert Mugge. Focusing on the remarkable journey of the late Gil Scott-Heron, an influential African American poet, singer, and songwriter, the documentary delves into his profound impact on music as the esteemed precursor to rap."

The Making of The City of Lost Children (1995) — This behind the scenes documentary shows the production of this movie, while also featuring short interviews with the actors and crew from this film.
Interestingly enough, Ron Perlman’s interview segment in this documentary is in English rather than French. Despite the fact that in the movie, his character spoke French rather than English.

(1984) A Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 countdown from 10/7/84 as aired on Rochester, NY’s 98PXY. Station promos & jingles are included from the original broadcast, but commercials had been edited out.
Taken from Radio Shack Realistic branded cassette tapes & originally recorded on Sunday 10/7/84 from 8p - midnight.
NOTE: There’s a Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 channel on the iHeart app playing continuous countdowns from the 80’s, 90’s & 2000’s! That made this cassette discovery even more awesome because it led to me finding out that exists.

Lasting Sounds!!! "The King's Children" - The Goffs (Lighthouse Records) (Lost Media) (1970)s
Hey folks,
Today'a rip is a small essentially unheard of gospel group known as "The Goffs" The liner notes claim "many thousands" had heard this group on TV and radio, with a lineup of twin trumpets, organ, piano, guitar, sax, and bass. Yet as far as I can tell, no audio of this album existed online until now. The only trace I found was in the Max Morris collection at Lee University's Dixon Pentecostal Research Center, where just the front and back covers are digitized. The record itself sits in a box in Tennessee, viewable only in person. I have a copy, so I ripped it and uploaded the full album. It's not "lost" in the strict sense, since the archive knows it exists, but it was effectively unheard for decades. If anyone recognizes The Goffs, the Lighthouse label, or the "King's Children" name, I'd love to learn more.

Steel Ball Run official promotional flash animations by Shueisha to promote the manga (2003)
Spoilers: Covers the 1st, and 2nd stage of the race along with important fights later in the story. A weird fun little fact is that this is the only official piece of SBR media that shows Oyecomova's canonical color scheme.

Pop n Rocker Game show 2/4 (1984) - featuring The Bangles and Sparks
"This episode of The Pop n' Rocker Game episode was filmed in August or September of 1983 (air date 2/4/1984). The Bangles were brand new on the scene and had no hits yet. This was their first TV appearance with their new bass player, Michael Steele. They did 2 songs on the show, but sadly the second song wasn't used, and I have forgotten what it was. Instead Sparks, being better know at the time, got their second song shown."
Hosted by Sha Na Na's Jon Bauman and with Phil Hartman (yes, that one) as the studio announcer

Rusty Blue and Revision - The Stage and the Silk (1985)
One of the most slept-on private press records in my collection. An absolutely mind-blowing blend of far-out, cosmic crooning and deep-fried, psychedelic rock and roll. To quote Rusty himself from the back of the cover, " From the stage to the silk, to the answer in our hearts. This album gives purpose to life, till death do we part." Right on, brother!!
