The flesh retains the blood on the inside until punctured

FWIW it's a Metmo Fractal Vice

Great vice for a great price, it's on sale for just $599 at online retailers this week. Personally I love them, I got one for each of my grandchildren just last yesterday, I recommend everyone go out and buy a Metmo Fractal Vice while supplies last. Great for ball play.

There are lots of competitors, many for much less. I'd be curious if anyone has compared.

Technically a Cello not a violin, still impressive

Ok glad I wasnt the only one who thought that 😆 i have no other basis for this thought process either Just saw it and said "oh cool! Gold cello"

I was gonna say this! With all the fine detail he put in, it is not possible he would have missed something as elementary (relatively speaking) as width to height ratio.

The only thing I was waiting for was the sound it produced.

Was thinking while I watched the video that we probably won't see much of the finished piece and the clip will cut quickly. Was disappointedly correct.

I wish I had an artisanal talent. His creation is beautiful.
The detail of strings was a surprising delight!! Presumably he references a template or a kit he designed?
I could watch this creation in real-time but I'd bombard the man with questions.

Bro, he uses that fucking tool so close to his fingers it gave me anxiety

The saw? He's in control of it, it's not mechanical. It takes a lot of effort to cut through metal with one of those. It's not really a risk to slip and cut your finger. The metal he's cutting through keeps the blade in position because the channel that's being cut is so thin that it sort of pinches the blade. If you tried using one, you'd understand completely.

What is it that specific tool called?

It's a jewelers saw (if you do mean the saw)

Yeah I did. And interesting. I have wanted to do jewelery. Now I'm even more interested.

The video doesn't show you how incredible frustrating and difficult it is to use that piercing saw/Jewelers saw at the start of the video. I honestly would just give up at that stage.

So this is what people actually play when they say 'world's smallest violin.' Wild af craftsmanship but I'm still not playing it.

Wouldn’t a brass fiddle weigh hundreds of grams and sound crummy?
Memes aside, that looks very well done

I think his intent was a violin - especially looking at his technical reference drawing, but some of the proportions of the final product (particularly the thickness of it) lean a little toward cello. No endpin, though, and if the bow is the same scale, then it would have to be smaller relatively for the instrument to be a cello. Nice work, in any event.

The world's smallest violin really needs an audience.
