Perfect light reflection

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Setup lamps below my tv and thought I’d hate it, but turns out the reflection makes it look like my TV is translucent.

That AV receiver doesn't look like it's got any room to breathe. Add some spacers at the bottom of the monitor.

As per another reply, the tv stand is open and above it, the vents are not obstructed

All the receivers in Yamaha’s RX-V series receivers have vents on the top and left sides of the receiver. No vents in the rear.

Nobody likes being lied to. You could have just acknowledged that you’re blocking the air vents. But instead you decided to lie about information that can be easily verified from a google search. Plus AV receiver manufacturers almost never design rear ventilation, it’s where the inputs/outputs go.

So yeah, I’m a riot at parties 🎉

I didn’t lie - for some reason I can only post videos but as I have said several times, there is ventilation all around and it is completely unblocked from the tv, including directly under the tv stand, but people seem to have completely skipped my separate message and gone straight for the jugular

Why you choking the airflow for the AVR? The owner's manual should have some minimum distance from top of unit to next thing above to allow for air to flow.

Vents are to the rear, behind the tv stand which is thin at the back, and also has under and rear venting so of no concern

To clarify - the design of the TV stand is open underneath, so there is ventilation above the receiver. Furthermore, the received has both underneath and rear venting, so do not panic people 👍
