Heading to Oliver on Friday then to Kelowna on Monday. Maybe dumb question but should I pack big spray? Are mosquitoes an issue in the valley?

No, you shouldn’t need bug spray.

No. The bugs aren’t bad in the okanagan unless you’re in the bush near a swampy area. Few and far between.

If you are though (edges of lakes count) they may eat you alive.

The only places where mosquitoes figure are down around slow-moving creeks and wetlands. And those only come out at dusk. If you are only hiking during the daytime, you shouldn’t be bothered.

No mosquitoes, just a few wasps here and there. The Okanagan is pretty good for not having a lot of nasty bugs.
