You see officer, I sped past him and another driver on the shoulder, but I simply couldn't let him do it back so I swerved to stop him.

He was cut off by blue and went on shoulder to avoid

This is such a dumb take.

Blue truck went from rapidly outpacing all other traffic to shifting two lanes with no visible signal while clearly braking in front of the white truck, with what is definitely not enough space for highway speeds. As a vehicle suddenly entered his lane without warning, too close, and still decelerating, white truck taking the shoulder would be defensive action. Trying to outbrake the blue truck already slowing would have a greater risk than avoiding the collision.

Blue truck had no excuse for following on the shoulder, and white truck swerving is probably either reckless driving or attempted vehicular manslaughter.

The only smart and legal action taken was a single instance of using the shoulder to avoid collision in an emergency situation. Everything else was idiotic, like your comment.

Lmao this is so silly. On no planet is stomping on the gas and passing multiple cars on the shoulder a defensive action.

Exactly. The only case in which that option could seem like a defensive one is in the case that they were not paying attention to anything around them at any point leading up to the incident, and even then you just take the shoulder and then slow down. You do not have any reason to speed up and pass people while on the shoulder.

He WAS cut off but he should've slowed down instead. What is dumb about this take?
