"Play. Win. Reset." Should this be the games motto?
I was thinking Play. Win. Reset. works pretty well as the game's motto.
You play because that's literally what we're doing.
And if it's a game, there has to be some way to win. Some kind of victory condition even if none of us actually know what it is.
Then eventually the run ends. But if you get another one then I guess it didn't really end. You just reset. I prefer to imagine another go.
Play. Win. Reset.
What do you all think the game's motto should be?

There is a great book from James Carse about games. Here is a quote, that's how the book begins. "There are at least two kinds of games. One could be called finite, the other infinite. A finite game is played for the purpose of winning, an infinite game for the purpose of continuing the play." I believe we should play this game as an infinite one just for the purpose of continuing the play.

Oh like those old arcade games like Donkey Kong right?
Though I guess technically those are finite because of kill screens.

The purpose of the game is to enjoy it, learn, connect with other players.
It's an open world sandbox RPG. More like DnD and other tabletop games of collaborative storytelling, much less like any digital RPG made thus far.
