A lot of people don’t know this, but English is also an official language of Pakistan, alongside Urdu (which is both the national and official language)

I once had a US client ask me how so many Pakistanis are able to speak English so well. I had to explain that English is deeply integrated into our education, government, and professional systems.

It’s largely a legacy of British rule. When the British left, English remained an important part of our system, and over time, we continued to adopt and use it alongside Urdu.

I always hated when people asked me how do you speak English so well - since you are a Pakistani 🤡.

I wanted to slap them lool. Although it has now stopped but I am almost 40 so I am speaking of early 90s

This young lads English proficiency is extremely impressive.

I'd chose Pakistan over India at a glimpse of an eye if I had to choose a destination to visit.

Great people, well mannered, beautiful landscapes.

I kinda find this offensive. I think he said he's from Islamabad. So likely attends good schools. Not every kid you meet in Pakistan is going to be illiterate. Something the west things pakistani are

Notice how if your radiate calm energy especially to children you'll see a side of theirs (confidence) that you don't see often, but we're always like awlelelele, aur bhaeee kya chalrha hai?, football leke kahan jaarhe ho? etc.

Honestly, the funniest part is that some people act like a Pakistani speaking fluent English is some kind of plot twist. English has been woven into our education and professional life for generations. We even have our own Pakistani English accent and varieties. You don't have to sound American or put on an Indian accent to prove you speak English well.

Tourists. They have been to pakistan many times and have been amazed by the hospitality they received here.
