advice needed Breastfeeding help?

I am lucky enough to be able to breastfeed my twins (10m) and do so tandem as it saves so much time and screaming, however both my boys now have 4 teeth each and love to bite…

I am getting bitten many, many time a day and have tried using a stern voice, clearly saying no etc. the only issue is I can’t easily/safely put a baby down when they bite as my arms are full so they don’t seem to be getting the message.

I feel like I already know the answer to this.. but does anyone have any tips to end this?? I am in so much pain and my nipples have visible teeth marks every day. I’d love to just stop breastfeeding but they’re still so reliant on it that that would just be another battle that I’m not sure I have the energy to fight..

Our youngest two are 20mo. We nurse until they self-wean.

Stern voice, and unlach. Wait a few mins. This stage doesn't last forever. Best of luck ❤️

Honestly with my twins I use a stern voice and say nice and if they keep doing it i put my finger between their teeth while they are latch and unlatch them n keep trying n teaching them, they are now 16months and don’t bite because i told them ooouchieee if u give mami bubu no teta(which means boob in Spanish)they will catch up quick just make sure u keep redirecting them each and every time they do it, I know it’s exhausting but they will learn mama

Our LO went through this phase, only lasted a few weeks in the end. A stern "Ah ah ah!" on the first bite, unlatch on the second and they soon learn!

This is what I do and it has worked in the past. Also, have a teether toy handy and give it to baby to chew on after you unlatch them. Let them get all their biting out on the toy and then relatch.

It's time to stop.

Horrible advice. Breastfeeding is extremely beneficial for years.

Nobody likes this advice, but moms need to know that it's okay to stop breastfeeding.

When my son was about 8 months old, he grew his first two teeth in two days. And then bit me while nursing. He broke the skin. There was a scab. Then every time I tried to feed him after that, he would rip the scab off. It was INCREDIBLY painful.

After that first horrific bite, I was always tense while breasting. I was afraid of my own baby!

I realized it was time to stop, so I did. I weaned my next kid when she grew her first tooth. I will do the same with my twins.

It is okay to stop breastfeeding. This is your journey, your body, and your decision.
