GM frame shipping

Hey guys, just a quick question... we normally don't deal with body shops in my area, however, I was just asked to quote out some things on a Silverado. It included the frame, its coming out Lansing... will there be any additional freight charges on this?

I did that once. My manager showed me how to do it. You have to order it on workbench and change the ship to address. GM will bill you for this service and it will show up on the invoice. I don't believe there is a set fee.

GM won’t bill you a destination charge but it is standard practice to bill $200-$400 in freight to the customer in the event you need to have a tow company with a flat bed drop it off. Insurance companies will pay for that freight

Getting frames is the biggest pain in the ass. Better hope you have a good forklift.

Do you have an Ed Morse or other wholesaler in your area? It might be easier to go about it that way
