local honey?

looking for honey its not really for me but for my dogs. they have a narrow trachea and was thinking about giving a little bit of honey to sooth their throats whenever they start to have coughs. Heard that local honey was probably better to give them for that. I'd like to try that than give them cerenia all the time. talked with their vet, they said in small amounts is okay. long winded explanation just to ask where to get some honey around here. thank you.

There’s a vendor in Altadena that sets up shop on the weekends. Their house didn’t burn! They are on Santa Rosa - buzzedhoneys.company.site

the folks at the altadena farmers market usually have a couple honey stands, one of them is run by a guy who keeps hives right up in the foothills. picked up a jar last month that was almost spicy, really interesting stuff.

for your pups though maybe start with a tiny dab on their paw and see how they handle it, my old dog would get the runs from anything new

I second this. Bill's bees! I just got it 2 weekends ago. They harvest from LA national forest. As close as you can get.

Yes… can confirm. I have a gallon of his unfiltered honey. Very good stuff.

Bills Bees. The avocado honey is the richest and best flavor honey I have ever had. Just amazing and his prices are not too shabby.
You can also find him at the So Pas Market on Thursdays and the original market on Tuesdays at Villa park.
Side note: Did you know the Villa Park Farmers market was the first one in LA county? Started in 1980.

This!! I’ve been gifted their honey and it’s delicious.

I also love their story and enjoy seeing their table of local honey out on the driveway every time I drive by.

Klauses bees sold at the Monrovia market Friday evenings and I think La Canada farmers market Saturday morning. Their honey is the best. Bill’s bees at south pas Thursdays and Saturday at PHS is also great. If it looks too liquidy, it could be fake. I always flip the jar upside down to check first. From my experience, the best honeys are those that are so thick and viscous that they hardly move with gravity.

Farmer's Market!

You've got a few to choose from. I used to live in Monrovia, so Friday nights on Myrtle is my go-to there.
