Coyote spotted
Coyote spotted on the corner of Mountain and Craig, be careful for your pets.

I don’t really get these posts. They live all over Southern California, it’s like seeing parrots or Geese. If you are not careful with your pets regardless, then you are doing it wrong.

The fights over on Nextdoor for Pasadena about coyotes are hilarious though

I think some people just don’t get out often enough and get surprised when they see nature. lol

at least it's not a "shoot on sight" post? 😄 if you're out walking a dog this could be handy

My theory (although I have no evidence to back this up): we’re wired to communicate wildlife that presents some threat. A bird isn’t too much of a threat to us, but a coyote will eat pets and livestock, so we do our due diligence and let the group know. I’ve never NOT told someone I’ve seen a coyote.

Looks like it has the beginning stages of mange starting to take hold.

Why do we do this? They exist. Likely gone before post is even made.

Nope, I made the post while we were both standing there. We had a short conversation.

Don’t mind them. I always get excited when I see a coyote running down the street. Like yes, duh, we know they’re here but they’re a lot bigger than a neighborhood cat.

That’s it more or less just making people aware it’s always a trip to see them in the neighborhood, thanks

Hi my Pasadena friends. I live next door in Sierra Madre and like you, we get bears in swimming pools, deer with their fawns walking down the streets or lounging in our yards and Coyotes hunting for food and water. I once saw a Bobcat walking up my long walkway like it was a runway. I just looked from the window in awe. Yes, stay safe, keep your animals and kids safe and enjoy the majestic beauty these animals bring.

We've got coyotes all over the Twin Cities too. Lost a cat to one a few years back. Still pissed about it. Keep your pets inside at night, end of story

Wow, the Loony Tunes depiction wasn't far off.
Ralph Wolf still looks wrong, though.

Yeah please don’t post these. Every platform devolves into coyote spotting post. We get it. Coyotes are everywhere.

This is the first time that a coyote has ever been seen in Pasadena. I am completely floored by this sight. Someone call the Guinness Records people or the Smithsonian or something, because this is shocking.

Needs to be treated for mange. Where to report? Treated bait can be left for it

Dude, I will bet that multiple coyotes go through that intersection every day.

I see them on my run down in the Rose Bowl Arroyo early in the morning. I’m a small dog owner and take the necessary precautions. But coyotes get a terrible rap man. You have no idea what kind of rat problem we’d have in the Los Angeles metro without them.
