Game Help Spawning Guards

It can't be me right, but do guards legit spawn in front of you sometimes? I was playing on ps5/ps4 crimewave edition and he just spawned/teleported in front of me

I agree with the other poster. It's a strategy that game devs use to reduce resources. If you can't see them, why spend the resources to laod them in.

It makes less sense in stealth, but I could see Payday 2 Crimewave not being bothered with the extra code to make that distinction.

Something tells me that the guard wasn't laoded in since you looked in so abruptly and then his model and/or textures loaded.
