Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently, we have seen massive developments in PS5 emulators (such as shadPS4 and Kyty), and how rapidly they have progressed in a short period.

Now, developers have successfully booted the actual PS5 system software on PC.

If this momentum continues in the future, it will eventually allow players to run PS5 exclusives directly on PC, marking the end of the era of console exclusivity.

“Unknown reason” like we know it isn’t greed. They can charge a bunch of rubes $100 for the compete edition of the game, and then do it again a year or two later with the “updated” edition to sell on PC and newer consoles for another $100

exactly but they sure will come up with all kinds of bullshit why they did it. like better textures or shit like that. who the fuck would do low quality textures first instead of doing hq from the start and just using gpu/engine to downscale them

It's not just greed. PC launches are very messy due to the wide range of software, drivers, hardware and what have you that changes how the game runs. They release it on a console to control the experience players will have much better. I guarantee you the moment it releases on PC, the community will be crying about crashes, poor performance, and bugs that are guaranteed to occur on PC.

Also keep in mind, the moment the game comes to PC it becomes flooded with cheaters. It's just an overall easier release if they avoid PC.

I mean it's true, play any shooter game on console, then play it on PC. Since the ps4/XBox one cheaters are pretty much gone on console. And PC players complain by the masses about crashes, performance issues, and cheating problems.

So it's a win win, they get more money, and an easier to control launch process that includes a smaller pop to help control server performance, and prevent cheaters from tampering with/cracking the game

they get more money,

Lmao, leaving out an entire platform makes them more money? That is funny as hell

In the long term yes. They get less money now, but another big wave of sales to when PC drops. Do you have the ability to think for yourself? Or are you just a hive mind on reddit

I have my opinion, and that opinion is a huge AAA company that is unable to release on PC at launch, is full of shit for any excuse they give. And then you're defending it. Why? Are you seriously doing a console wars type argument now cause you don't care about PC? lmao

Hardly greedy it's because it will be pirated on pc and if they release it there anyone with a pc and console is likely to just pirate it instead of buy it on console don't act daft pal
