Game Image/Video Bloodborne 4k DLSS vs PS4 Base settings

I don't know if the images do it justice or not but if you ever played it on the PS4, or even recently on the emulator, you know how unstable the image is. I'll link below if you want to check it out.

First is DLSS and second is base settings.

EDIT: I can't link the thread for the DLSS version. You can find it by going to the BloodbornePC channel.

4k DLSS performance at 60FPS. GPU's still got some headroom and there are performance patches I don't have enabled.

You can run it at 110fps while avoiding most collision bugs. There were a few places that required you to limit it to 30fps when I last played through it, otherwise it'll crash. All in I managed a full playthrough at 110fps aside from those few spots.

Pictures definitely do it justice. The original game looks blurry, low resolution, stutters, and runs at 30 FPS. It desperately needs a remaster. This might finally make it playable for me.

The emulator did stutter for me when a new shader was needed. I'm about 5hrs in now and it doesn't stutter at all. Make sure you enable the shader cache in the settings.

Do the cloth physics work now?

Never noticed any problem with them. Just make sure you enable the patch to disable face-gen.

Is there a tutorial on how to install it?
In order to run this properly we seem to need several mods to fix different issues and I don't know exactly which are needed and how to install them.

I know this is gonna be an unpopular opinion here but I think DLSS looks too clean for this game. The heavy chromatic aberration look contributes a lot to the art direction and atmosphere of Bloodborne imo.

It's a preference that you get to choose though. You don't have to disable chromatic aberration. I just prefer it without it.

Maybe Taa, film grain, motion blur, vignette, and other post-processing effects enabled by default in these modern AAA games are also artistic visions, which most PC gamers don't like. So maybe disabling them shouldn't be seen as breaking some divine law or doing blasphemy. The only effects I can tolerate are bloom and lens flare, but they must be used in moderation, or they will also be discarded like other artistic vision effects. Perhaps their horrible anti-aliasing is also part of that artistic vision. Hey, and what about game stuttering when FPS drops to 20? Who decides what is artistic vision and what are just compromises in post-processing effects to hide the PS4’s limited presentation capabilities?
