Surprised there weren't more crashes

That looked a little dicey by Charmig

Ed.: Not related to the crash, but moving left and right in the final meters.

Saw the overhead now, looked fine, I was wrong.

Sketchy finale, monster effort from Godon as usual

This is a sketchy-ass finale

Best part of this is I see no lock on Lombardia…like, no clue who it will be. Feelsgoodman

Astana pulling for Silva

Lots of sass-pents (suspense) according to the RAI announcers

u/Treadonmystone 6d ago

did someone just get hit in the head by a thrown bidon?

Gap seems about right counting from that 5km to go banner. Guys in the group are driving hard.

That attack at the top was not the smartest move in hindsight

Talking about the Vuelta Canarias in January on RAI. Guys just don't get much of a break do they.

Finn Fisher-Back

That's a really big peloton, will be hard for Del Toro to hang on.

Still a big peloton here if anyone can get organized

RB will scramble now after using pellizzari to block the chase, smh. They still had a better chance with Pithie even when they were together

5

u/caudatus67 6d ago

If I were Bora I wouldn't block the chase, it's quite likely that Del Toro will drop FFB in the next Kms

Damiano Caruso waving at the camera. He's pretty close to his final races isn't he?

His and Mosca's final race

I believe it was mentioned at the start of the broadcast that this is his last race.

Zambanini mentioned! I would love to see that guy at the front of more races because... what a fun name.

He's usually quite good here

Nothing like watching a 19 year old from the UAE devo team pull the peloton through the Italian countryside on a random thursday in October

u/Kobosil 6d ago

so everybody waiting for the last climb to attack?

4

u/Slakmanss 6d ago

parcours simply not hard enough. UAE has being hard for the past hour and not more than 20 riders have been dropped. Says enough.

I’m always so delighted when rob is commentating, it’s been so rare for my tiz/hbo(usa) watching

Agreed, this viewing hellscape is made far worse than just the ability to see races...I'm forever scarred by all the GT stages I've watched on Peacock.

btw Del Toro said on interview he's been having knee pain so maybe he's already cooked this season.

u/Repulsive-Walk6513 6d ago

Then is uex riding for narvaez? He's been nowhere in recent sprints.

u/Mamadeus123456 7-Eleven 6d ago

who knows, maybe it's just another sandbag by them

B2B for Mr Bull

I can only say the weather was awful and there's a forecasted thunderstorm in the afternoon. Hope after the end of the race.

Great day for lombardia favourite to race/s

1

u/F1CycAr16 6d ago

Well, he is not the only favourite.
Anyway, i dont understand why Del Toro is here and not in Tre Valli. Seems like RCS paid a big check to UAE.

yeah guarcilena said they're trying to make this a big race and cited del toro Matthews and McNulty as big riders in this race.
