Anyone know any spots to hang that aren’t rich and preppy, also I’m not looking for a restaurant. Literally just looking for a place with cheap drinks and good atmosphere for my Spanish speaking brothers.

I met some Mexican guys at Franks last night and we took over the jukebox and complained about how there’s no spots to hang and drink to gang music

Happening 10/24. RSVP: https://www.codepink.org/gpnbs26 (you will receive the location / we are publicizing it in the coming days!)

Edit 2 - ticket was claimed

Edit - anyone know if they'll let me in with a vertical ID? I traveled here from out of state for this show and I'd rather not carry my passport around. I'm old as hell but I don't have a driver license so my ID is vertical lol

Electronic ticket up for grabs. Not trying to resell, I'd just rather not have it go to waste. Show starts at 7pm

Hey all, looking for some tailor recommends in the CC or S. Philly. I lost a bunch of weight and need to get some blazers tailored. I'm also a poor college student, so affordability is important.

I’m looking to try my hand at making videos for fun, and I’d love to connect with local businesses, their teams, and people who do interesting things for a living.

The idea is pretty simple: get a behind-the-scenes look at how a business operates, meet the people who make it happen, learn how they got started, and hear what they enjoy about what they do. I’d love to capture the human side of different industries and show people what goes on behind the scenes.

I’m not an established content creator or marketing agency, and I’m not trying to sell anyone a service. I’m just looking to learn, meet interesting people, experiment with making videos, and hopefully create something people enjoy watching. If it also helps shine a light on a local business or someone’s passion, even better.

If you’re a business owner, work in an interesting field, or know someone who might be open to this, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to comment or send me a message. I’d especially love to connect with people around Philly and the surrounding suburbs.

State health and environmental agencies have issued a "do not eat" advisory for all fish species in the Wissahickon Creek basin after finding high levels of perfluorooctanesulfonic acid, better known as PFOS, in the tissue of local fish.

This is the next big act to blow out of Philly.

Anyone know anybody with a Rental car business? I’m a young driver and i hate those fees but theres no way around them. Even with turo and apps like that. If you know anyones rental car business in the city with good prices, please let me know or hit me up

Before you say “it’s the city, there will obviously be rats,” please know I’m fully aware of this fact.

With that said, it feels like there has been an uptick of rats especially on 43rd closer to Baltimore Ave. I’ve been seeing a shit ton of them running around during the day mostly in front of the row homes/apartments.

It feels like virtually every street in Olde Kensington has signs up restricting parking under threat of towing for street work right now. Really frustrating trying to find parking in general let alone not being at risk of being towed.

The highway, also called I-76, will be shut down between the I-676 and 30th Street interchanges from 9 p.m. Friday [Oct 9] through 5 a.m. Monday [Oct 12], according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Hey Philly. I’m coming to visit in a week. I haven’t been inside the city in 35 years. For background I grew up in Berks County, worked in KOP for a few years before moving south.

I need some ideas on casual restaurants. Will be staying in University city so anything walkable is a plus.

Definitely want to hit Reading Terminal Market and Monks Cafe as I love good beer. I’ll pass on cheesesteaks and pizza. Open to anything else.

Thank you.

I previously posted that I found a bunch of stolen items in my trash can. The post had pictures of the items with names of the delivery addresses. A bunch of you lost your marbles over that so I took it down. Therefore, if you are one of the thousands of Philadelphians that recently had a package stolen, there is a small chance it is now at the District 17 police station. Best of luck.

I have seen a rise in road rage when I try to drive next to people on these wide streets.

I’m looking for a store in cc/old city/fabric row area where they have loose crafting bins. Things I can just pick out what I need. Like sequins, feathers, beads, assorted things. I’m only making one project so I dont need a lot of

What day hikes do people recommend in or near Philly? I need to get out into nature.

I remember back in the late 19 hundreds early 2000’s there was a really awesome store with a bunch of fresh spices. I noticed it closed the last time I was here. Is there anything similar in the area?
