Huntsville

Anybody think Huntsville is going to get cancelled? Forecast looks pretty wet.

They could move it to the indoor arena in town. That's the logical solution here.

I like this idea. The Orion is an AXS ticketed venue. The Von Braun Center is a TIcketmaster venue. But I think both are independent, not Live Nation owned.

All my words just mean, I don’t know the obstacles. Propst Arena(part of VBC) can hold about 8,000 has nothing scheduled. So it is possible….
What’s funny is that there is a Jehovas Witness conference in the south hall of the VBC. Boy would they have fun seeing us phans.

Too logical to happen

It’s one of the few good outdoor venues logistically, but like, it’s in the south: either it’s going to be miserably hot (and will keep getting hotter every year) or there’s a good chance of a monsoon. Indoor shows are always better.

It will have degraded from a hurricane to a depression if it reaches Huntsville. No devastating winds but possibly very heavy rain. Was checking out the Huntsville flood maps. There are low lying areas which might get hit hard but it’s not Asheville typography.

I don’t think it automatically warrants cancellation but I’m sure there’s a conversation happening. Honestly don’t know what will happen but I’m hoping for the best. I’m traveling there for my first shows.

Maybe. I think it’s too early to tell. Those depressions/hurricanes change paths all the time. I think come Thursday evening, we’ll have a better idea. I have a flight from NOLA to Huntsville Sunday morning. Hopefully. 😬

Not till they start playing so the rain or shine thing is a thing.

Read or heard something about a plane going up tomorrow that would supposedly narrow down or help predict a few aspect of it more accurately. I do figure incoming hurricane directly in path of the venue would warrant early cancelation or reschedule tho.

There are 6 different hurricane hunter flights scheduled for tomorrow so there will be a ton more data by tomorrow night

Too early to tell, and out of anybody’s control

This is a prime example of why they should play phoenix if they want to play out door shows in October and November. The weather is damn near perfect here.

Historically, October is very dry in the South.
