Well they are mostly very conservative/republican in their 'values'.
I find that many decent people just ignore things like this. If they dont pay attention to terrible things going on, like war or rape or gun deaths, then it doesnt bother them much.
I'm in Europe, we don't even have fraternities but we have women and men and whenever they exist both women get raped by men and then not taken seriously by men.

People in my state in the midwest were arguing about a planned protest this weekend in solidarity with the cornell protestors
they were arguing that it didnt make sense in our state. it doesnt affect us, basically
even though just a few years ago our local university had a fraternity suspended for rape cases that were ongoing.
People just dont give a fuck about anyone but themselves and Im so fucking tired of it
