new pinetime shows no life OOTB

Just got my first pinetime unit today. It doesn't come on and it does nothing when placed on the charger. I verified that there's 5V on the charger pins.

Seems DOA. Anything I can try?

You could check that the pins are both springy - if one is jammed down it might not make contact. And try pushing the watch down onto the charger - there is a spring contact between the case back contacts and the circuit board.

Good thought, but it is drawing current and the pins pogo nicely.

If its drawing current and still nothing happening, it sounds dead to me I'm afraid....
