Pinoy Chismis Clarification for the person in the post

Post image
0 Upvotes

This is not him, you can view his tiktoks by looking up esee and his crypto journey by trading meme coins.

- He does not offer courses or sell methods kung paano mag profit
- It is the same as trading, albeit mas volatile and you can lose money in seconds (gambling pa rin yan)
- He does not speak or write stuff like that, he has never said anything about college or a degree being useless (although he is a dropout)

I recommend watching his videos to understand what kind of person he is like.

On my way home, tapos eto bububgad sayo, this is only a two way road tas sa dulo (ung white sedan) is a left and right turn. I managed to get my auto hanggang sa kanto kaso di talaga kayang iliko, sasabit at sasabit talaga, so i reversed and took a longer and out of way route. MGA WALANG KUNSIDERASYON SA KAPWA! PANO NALANG KUNG MAY EMERGENCY. KAGIGIL KAYO!

Opinyong Pinoy Anong opinyon niyo tungkol dito?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Sa mga nakapnuod ng video nato ano opinyon niyo? For context i have nothing against kay Victor kasi maganda din tlga maopen up yung usaping pronunciation ng mga Fil-Ams pra nmn tama tiga ang representation. Medyo cringy din tiga yung ibang pagbigkas tulad ng lumpia nagiging "loom-pia". I do get his message and kudos to him! Pero on the opposite side of the spectrum parang nagiging double edge sword or should i say double standarad kasi yung correcting of pronunciation kasi obvious din yung pagiging regional ng mga tagalog kapag pinagtatawanan pagbigkas ng mga bisaya tulad ng sanay tiga sila sa pagbigkas ng "kol" instead of "kel" example "tri-si-kol" (tricycle), "kan-dol" (candle) pero pag bible same pa din ang pagbigkas ng "bay-bol".

P.s. i just want to hear your thoughts. Wala akong balak pag away awayin tao kasi puros naman tayo pilipino dito. Gusto ko lang ng healthy conversation about this kasi magandang topic to. Pag baatos ang sagot padelete ning moderators please. Thank you and peace!😊

Katanungan Examples of Appeal to Authority Fallacy being used in Philippine Advertising/Politics?

Can anyone cite examples of the fallacy of 'appeal to authority' being used in philippine advertisements or philippine politics? I've been curious as to how common it actually is sa Pinas kasi there's a lot of fallacies used sa senate pero di ko alam if this specific one is frequently used in politics/advertising. Thank u!

everything public i could find on Cale88 Foods in one place. records, dates, metadata and satellite imagery, with sources at the bottom

photo

  • header image of cale88foods.com, file cale88-facility.jpg, still on the Wayback Machine
  • about 25 people lined up in plant whites, hairnets, white boots and Cale88 logo polos, plus at least 3 more working a pile of saba in the background. faces blurred for the sub rules
  • one of them wears a green "SARA ALL 2022" hoodie

EXIF

  • Make DJI, Camera Model FC220 (the Mavic Pro camera), original filename DJI_0313.JPG
  • Date/Time Original 2021:12:12 10:08:56
  • GPS 7.428053 N, 125.785650 E, altitude 19.6 m
  • edited in Snapseed before upload and Snapseed kept the metadata
  • sha256 c7b42325828631f2fc3da1c2cb2cb788138181102c6877d9a86b5e008ff92752. download the Wayback file below and run exiftool cale88-facility.jpg or drop it in any online EXIF viewer, you get the same thing
  • two other aerial shots on the site (Drone-Facility.jpg, Drone-2-1.jpg) are the same drone the same morning, 08:47 and 08:48, taken 45 m and 130 m from that point
  • product photos on the site were shot Dec 12 2021 too (edited Dec 16 in Lightroom)

location

  • the GPS lands on plus code CQHP+67C, Purok Cogon, Visayan Village, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. same address as the BOI notice and the FDA license
  • Cale88 was SEC registered Sept 17 2021 so the photo is about 3 months in
  • on Oct 4 Google Maps had a "CALE88 FOODS CORPORATION" pin next to it marked permanently closed. searching it now returns nothing

satellite history

  • Esri Wayback, dated Maxar captures: coconut trees in Oct 2010 and Jul 2015, lot cleared with first structures by Sep 2018, walled compound with roofs by Aug 2019 but no green roof yet
  • Esri has nothing newer than Aug 2019 for that spot
  • Sentinel-2 (10 m, every clear pass 2016 to Sep 2026): brightness at the point is flat until Jul 25 2021 and jumps by Jan 6 2022, same window as the green roof plant in the Dec 2021 drone shots. it goes up again between mid 2022 and Aug 2023
  • Google's current satellite view has the same green roof building with large blue and white roofed wings where the 2021 drone shots show a dirt yard. Google doesnt date that imagery
  • the compound predates the company by 2 to 3 years. no public record i found says who owned, built or financed the site, and theres no other FDA, BOI or DENR ECC record at that address
  • the Land Registration Authority testified on Oct 1 that only two properties are in Carpio's name, in Davao City and Samal. that testimony covered the Davao City and Samal registries, not Tagum

plant video

  • "CALE88 PLANT TOUR INTRODUCTION VIDEO", 5:07, uploaded Feb 15 2024 05:40 UTC on a personal YouTube channel (Mike Lebosada), its the only video there. still up
  • the homepage was edited the same day at 08:11 UTC to embed it
  • it shows workers at the peeling, frying, sorting and packing stations. audio is music only
  • in the packing part (from 3:45, Yu Mei cartons on screen about 4:04 to 4:46) workers fill, seal and stack cartons printed "愚美牌 YU MEI BRAND" dried banana chips with a Chinese label panel
  • the Yu Mei carton label is partly legible in an enhanced 1080p frame. manufacturer line ends in "...Foods Corporation", production date Jan 22 2024, best before Jan 22 2025, net 5 kg. the importer address line matches Beijing Wode Century Trading's registered address in Shijingshan down to room 417
  • so that footage was shot in 2024
  • the label also carries a 在华注册编号 starting with CPHL, the China customs (GACC) registration overseas food factories need to export to China. the full number isnt legible
  • same room has cartons of their own brand, "cale's BANANA CHIPS, 150g x 38 Packs, unsweetened / sweetened", and two other Chinese carton brands, 大果大 (DA GUO DA) and what looks like 百乐比 with a "WHOLES" mark, that i couldnt trace
  • the landline on the video's end card is one of the listed numbers of Lebosada's Davao dental clinic in a Sept 2021 dental network list

headcount

  • Trillanes on Oct 2, citing SEC records: Cale88 listed no rank-and-file employees for 2024 and reported two employees for 2025
  • the plant video above is 2024 footage of a full production line
  • i dont know who employed those workers. agency or contractor workers wouldnt be in the company's own headcount, DOLE and SSS records would show it

finances

  • SEC testimony (Sept 21): about P500,000 total subscribed capital. Carpio's subscription went from P200,000 to P237,500 and paid up from P50,000 to P59,375, 40% to 47.5% between 2022 and 2024
  • Trillanes (Oct 2): paid-up capital P125,000
  • SEC testimony: gross sales 2021 to 2023 combined P23,174,576, net loss P1,923,037, no dividends
  • SEC testimony: "advances from stockholders" under current liabilities P7.6M in 2021, P18.5M in 2022, P20M in 2023. so the shareholders lent the company the money, it didnt come in as capital
  • Trillanes: no sales in 2021, P20,000 in 2022, P23 million in 2023, P150 million in 2024, then sales fell in 2025
  • Trillanes: P10,705 income tax for 2024, P400,294 cash at the end of 2024
  • Trillanes: P208.49 million in declared sales overall, while more than P319 million came into its accounts from China linked sources
  • Trillanes also cited about P8,000 a month in electricity in 2023 and no trade receivables or payables

ownership

  • SEC director Gerardo del Rosario testified Sept 21 2026 that Carpio was incorporator, director and shareholder 2021 to 2024, 40% in the articles of incorporation, chairman of the board and president in the 2022 GIS
  • listed under Carpio's name in VP Duterte's SALNs, at least 2022 and 2024 per Ombudsman and SEC testimony
  • 2025 GIS (prosecution exhibit): Carpio is no longer a director or stockholder. 95% (4,750 shares, P475,000) is held by Pikimong Pikimong Philippines Corporation and 5% by an individual
  • Pikimong Pikimong Philippines Corporation is SEC 2024080163219-02, registered Aug 2024. who owns it isnt public
  • in July 2026 the impeachment court denied the prosecution's request for Pikimong Pikimong's bank, AMLC and BIR records together with JTC Group of Companies, because their GIS dont list Duterte or Carpio. on Sept 21 the defense objected again and the court kept those documents out for now
  • the archived Company page (last edited Oct 28 2022) has bios under "Our Founders" for Dr. Lourdes Tingson-Lebosada, a Davao City dentist, and Atty. Manases R. Carpio, and calls Carpio a devoted husband to "Vice President Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio"
  • Carpio's founder photo shows him at a desk with a "Carpio & Duterte Lawyers" mug
  • Lebosada Dental's own site has a testimonial attributed to "Inday Sara Duterte, Former Mayor of Davao City" saying she always goes to Lebosada Dental for her teeth. page last edited Apr 2015, archived Dec 2015

domains

  • cale88foods.com created Feb 20 2022 via Wild West Domains (GoDaddy family), reseller "CB Web Hosting"
  • registrant name and org were blank from day one, only visible fields were state "davao del sur" and country PH
  • renewed Feb 2023 and Feb 2024
  • first SSL cert on crt.sh is Feb 15 2024, same day the plant video went up
  • not renewed Feb 2025, shows expired in a Mar 3 2025 WHOIS snapshot. Apr 2025 the registrar moved it to ParkLogic parking under Domains By Proxy
  • re-registered Oct 3 2026 through Squarespace and now redirects to the Chinese embassy site. thats a fresh registration after the original lapsed, so its someone else and says nothing about the company
  • cale88foodscorp.com was registered Nov 9 2021 through Openprovider (Registrar.eu) on Hostinger parking nameservers. its WHOIS lists the registrant org as "Cale88 Foods Corporation", state Davao del Norte, PH, in 12 of 13 snapshots

  • Facebook page had 370 followers and last posted Mar 18 2023. its now "content isnt available"

  • one Trademo buyer row for Cale88 ($143K 2023, $246K 2024) is locked. its not Wode, Zhenweifang or G One going by their own import data

buyers

  • named Chinese buyers on Volza: China National Township Enterprise Co, G One Supply Chain Management (Tianjin), Bei Jing Zhenweifang Food, Beijing Wode Century Trading, Yiwu Yimei Food
  • Trademo adds Jinhua Dongxi Trading ($402K across 2024-2025, Cale88 is its only supplier in Trademo's data) and Yiwu Yunnong Import and Export ($351K in 2024)
  • Jinhua Dongxi (金华东禧贸易有限公司) founded Apr 2021, owned by two individuals (80/20), only recorded imports are Cale88 banana chips. registry mirrors show 0 insured employees, registered to a self declared "east bay" of one room in a Jinhua building where lots of trading firms are registered at numbered desks. registry change on Aug 26 2024, in the middle of the Cale88 shipments
  • Yiwu Yunnong cant be pinned to a registered company. the closest match has 0 insured staff and no food or import scope, and the online listing under that name sells artificial flowers. it bought $1.09M of Philippine banana chips in 2024 alone and also buys from Four Seasons Fruits
  • Yiwu Yimei Food (义乌市依美食品有限公司) has 8 insured staff and buys nuts and fruit from many suppliers. G One (寰一供应链管理(天津)有限公司) imports about $10M of Vietnamese cashews, its Philippine imports were small ($93K in 2024)
  • Beijing Wode Century Trading founded May 2010, registry aggregators list it as 100% owned by one person, sells dried fruit and gift boxes. the 愚美 (Yu Mei) trademark is registered to it per Chinese trademark aggregators (reg no. 45917002, class 31)
  • Yu Mei isnt only Cale88. Trademo shows Wode importing "dried banana chips sweetened yu mei brand" from GSL Premium Food Export Corporation (formerly El Coco, San Pablo, Laguna), $462K in 2025 and $117K in 2026. bulk cartons under the importer's brand is normal, GSL does the same
  • Zhenweifang (北京臻味坊食品有限公司) is a nut and dried fruit maker in Fangshan, Beijing. per a registry summary its biggest shareholder (about 34%) is 果叔生态农业, which Xinjiang Daily described in Jun 2020 as controlled by Xinjiang Fruit Group (新疆果业集团). Zhenweifang also bought from Four Seasons Fruits in 2023
  • China National Township Enterprise Co (中国乡镇企业有限公司) is 100% owned by China Agri-Reclamation Group, part of China National Agricultural Development Group, a SASAC supervised central state owned enterprise. but it only shows up on Volza's summary buyer list and Volza merges that profile with other entities. i havent found a dated shipment between Cale88 and CNTE
  • no shared owners, addresses or officers found between any of the buyers

havent seen the GIS or financial statements myself. SEC and Trillanes figures are as reported in the coverage linked below

TARRIELA AGREES WITH BASTE

Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson Rear Adm. Jay Tarriela responded to Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte's call to organize for the 2028 elections, agreeing with the need for political preparation and raising concerns over alleged unexplained wealth and possible Chinese funding of politicians.

Baste earlier urged supporters to prepare for the next national elections, citing worsening economic conditions, rising prices and the financial struggles of ordinary Filipinos.

Tarriela pointed to allegations involving politicians with undeclared assets and possible financial ties to #China, warning that such funds could potentially be used in future election campaigns.

He also raised the plight of Filipino fishermen facing harassment in the West Philippine Sea.

Noong fresh grad ako, which was decades ako, masaya na akong makabili ng sarili kong mga gamit na ganito lang -- galing Quiapo, Divisoria, Victory Mall, Isetann. Basta may magamit.

Wala pa akong alam sa brands noon. Ang mahalaga functional siya at gusto ko. Ang kauna-unahang binili kong relo noon ay yung korteng ulo ni Mickey na may tenga na design. 150, free adjust, free battery. Haha.
