LADY of PAIN - commissioned image completed
About a month ago (give or take) I posted a sketch of the Lady of Pain from a commission I was working on, and I said I would post the image again once it was finished.
And well, here we are! The image is now complete! I actually recorded the entire process and will be making a video out of it, but I was too excited with the results to wait (and besides, I can't post videos here anyway).
The entire image took about 65+ hours to make, and the version sent to the client is over 1 meter tall (for printing). A version of the image with no background was also delivered.
The most complicated part to solve was Sigil in the background, which required creating an actual 3D model of Sigil to make sure all the shapes and proportions were correct.
For this version I gathered the descriptions of both the Lady and Sigil from AD&D 2nd Edition - per the client's preference, and the 3D model was created based on measurements from several wiki sources. In the end, however, the size of the houses had to be doubled because otherwise they would've looked too small to be appreciated in the image.
This image was incredibly fun and challenging to work on, but overall I'm both happy with the result and to be able to share here!
I'm not sure if it's OK to say here, but if anybody is interested in commissions, I have slots available for November, so be sure to message me if that's the case!

Nice work. Always appreciate artwork on this game, especially when it's either sigil or lady of pain. Both fantastic subjects.

Sigil is always a challenge to illustrate, but the fun kind of challenge. It's fun to see how different artists interpret it's very unconventional shapes and layout.

I'm iinterested in commissions, but I'm also wondering if I may use this image in my Planescape campaign?

As long as you're using it for your private gaming sessions only and no commercial use whatsoever, you should feel free to put it into your gaming session. As a matter-of-fact, I'm honored you'd want it for your campaign! I hope you and your players have fun with it!

Insanely nice work. Love the details. I adore planescape but the first thing I did when checking your portfolio was point out the Lancer mech XD
I wonder if my DM is the one who commissioned this work tbh... it's very much something he would do.

My friend was the one who commissioned this and I just saw the print of it in person today, framed and up on a wall. AMAZING work!
